Truck Chassis and Drive System

• Frame and Outriggers: The LTM 1140 boasts a Liebherr-designed box-type frame, constructed from high-tensile structural steel, ensuring durability and torsion resistance. It is equipped with a four-stabilizer outrigger system, allowing for hydraulic vertical and horizontal extension, providing optimal stability during operations.
• Engine and Transmission: Powered by a Daimler-Benz 12-cylinder diesel engine, the crane outputs 390 kW (523 hp) with a maximum torque of 2800 Nm, coupled with an Allison CLBT 754 automatic transmission featuring a torque converter and hydrodynamic retarder for enhanced maneuverability and off-road capability.
• Axles and Suspension: The vehicle includes six axles with the first three and the sixth being steered, and all axles equipped with planetary reduction gears and differential locks. The suspension system is hydropneumatically sprung with automatic leveling, ensuring smooth transit over uneven terrains.
