Product Description
The XCMG XCT40U is a powerful and flexible 40 US ton boom truck crane, engineered to handle various lifting tasks on job sites, such as construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. The crane is equipped with a five-section telescoping boom, which extends from a base length of 35.8 feet to a fully extended length of 142 feet. For additional reach, the crane is fitted with a jib that extends the maximum boom length to 195.5 feet, allowing for an increased hoisting height of up to 197 feet.
The crane offers a maximum rated lifting capacity of 40 US tons and a rated lifting torque of 708,000 ft-lb at the base boom. The maximum rated load moment decreases to 393,000 ft-lb when the boom is fully extended, and reaches 112,000 ft-lb with the jib fully extended. The minimum working radius is 5 feet, making it suitable for lifting tasks in confined spaces. The crane’s turning radius at the turntable tail is 10.43 feet, which enhances its maneuverability on job sites.
The XCT40U’s outriggers are designed to provide a stable foundation for lifting operations. The crane features a longitudinal outrigger span of 20.3 feet and a lateral span of 23.6 feet, ensuring robust support during operation. The outriggers can be extended or retracted simultaneously within 35 seconds for the outrigger beam and 40 seconds for the outrigger jack, allowing for quick setup and takedown times.
In terms of working speed, the boom raising time is approximately 35 seconds, while the time required to fully extend the boom is 70 seconds. The crane’s slewing system allows for a slewing speed of 2 rpm, providing smooth and controlled rotation for precise positioning of the load. The winch system, when operated without load, achieves a line speed of up to 443 feet per minute on the third layer, enabling fast hoisting operations.
The XCT40U also features a jib with three offset angles (0°, 15°, and 30°), which increases operational flexibility by allowing the crane to perform lifts at various angles. This feature is particularly beneficial when working in tight spaces or when there is a need to clear obstacles.
Overall, the XCMG XCT40U combines strong lifting capabilities, efficient setup times, and flexible boom configurations, making it a suitable choice for a wide range of lifting applications. Its compact design and performance make it ideal for jobs that require a balance between mobility and lifting power.
