Grove GMK5130-2

The Grove GMK5130-2 represents a high-capacity all-terrain solution, designed for demanding lifting operations while maintaining excellent road mobility. Debuting as part of Grove’s reputable GMK line, this 130-ton capacity crane is mounted on a specially engineered five-axle chassis using Grove’s proprietary MEGATRAK® independent hydropneumatic suspension system. This ensures optimal off-road performance and road handling. The crane operates with a 10x6x10 drive/steer configuration, with optional 10x8x10 for even greater traction.

The superstructure is fitted with a six-section 12.9 to 60.0-meter TWIN-LOCK™ boom, delivering a maximum tip height of 63 meters. It supports multiple extensions, including an 11/18-meter hydraulic swingaway jib with offsets from 0° to 40°, and optional lattice extensions up to 32 meters, enhancing its reach for various applications.

Powering the superstructure is a Mercedes-Benz OM904LA diesel engine producing 129 kW (175 hp), while the carrier is driven by a more powerful Mercedes-Benz OM502LA eight-cylinder diesel engine delivering 375 kW (503 hp), compliant with EUROMOT/EPA Tier 4i emission standards. The GMK5130-2 also boasts a 16-speed Mercedes G 240-16 EPS transmission, and its sophisticated control system is fully electronic via CAN-BUS, integrating engine management and crane operation.

The crane includes a modular counterweight system with a base 8.5-ton package, expandable to 40.1 tons. The operator cab offers excellent visibility, ergonomic controls, and comfort features such as heating and optional air conditioning.
