Liebherr LTM1070-4.2 is an extremely compact four-axle 8x6x8 all terrain crane which is equipped with a 50 metres telescopic boom. The mobile crane comes with optional 9.5 to 17 metres double fly jib which can be offset at 0°, 20°, 40° and 60°. The fly jib also has an integrated 3.2 metres assembly jib with a set of sheaves which are also offsettable at 0°, 20°, 40° and 60°. The assembly jib is useful for the location where there are height restrictions, while the offset gives additional clearance from the boom when lifting larger items at height.

Product Description

The crane comes with a 10.7 tonnes basic counterweight and an additional 3.8 tonnes ballast. Main boom maximum height under hook is 50 metres and has an optimum 0.8 tonnes lifting capacity at 44 metres radius. With the fly jib, it can reach up to a lifting height of 65 metres and 0.7 tonnes at 48 metres working radius.

The LTM1070-4.2 is powered by a 6-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine rated at 270 kW. The automatic transmission has a 12-speed ZF AS-Tronic gearbox and the two rear axles featured hydro-mechanical speed regulated steering, enhancing manoeuvrability and reducing tyre wear. Crane drive is diesel-hydraulic with a servo control system and electric load sensing control that four simultaneous working movements are possible. The crane operator’s cabin (Air-con optional) can be tilted backwards for optimum working visibility during lifts and is a typically comfortable and functional work-station with full instrumentation and highly developed advanced technology LICCON2 crane control system and BTT-Bluetooth terminal.

Milestone

UK-based crane rental company, Cadman Cranes Ltd purchased the Liebherr LTM1070-4.2 in 2012, making it the first unit of Liebherr crane in their fleet of 22 cranes.
