Product Description

The Kobelco Mastertech 7200G represents the next generation in Kobelco’s G series of large crawler cranes, combining power, modular flexibility, and environmental sustainability. Designed for heavy-duty lifting applications in infrastructure, energy, and industrial construction projects, the 7200G offers a maximum rated lifting capacity of 200 tonnes at 5.0 meters radius.

Its standard main crane boom spans from 18.3 to 73.2 meters, formed in a robust hexagonal profile for enhanced torsional resistance and stability. For extended applications, the crane supports a long boom configuration of 73.2 to 91.4 meters, allowing for wider operational radius and elevated reach. The optional luffing tower configuration brings unmatched versatility, extending to a total height of 115.9 meters when combining the 64.1-meter luffing tower with a 51.8-meter luffing jib.

The hoisting system features a high-speed hydraulic winch offering a wide operational speed range from 110 to 3 m/min, applicable to both main and auxiliary hoisting drums. For luffing tower and boom elevation operations, speeds range from 60 to 3 m/min, ensuring precise and efficient lifting performance under varying loads. The slewing system offers a rotational speed of 2.2 rpm, and the crane can travel at a maximum speed of 1.0 km/h (or 0.5 km/h when loaded).

The powerplant is a reliable Hino P11C-VC engine, delivering 271 kW at 1,850 rpm, paired with a 400-liter fuel tank to support long operating durations. It provides efficient power delivery, low emissions, and enhanced fuel economy, supported by Kobelco’s G-mode technology and AIS (Auto Idle Stop) system, which further reduces CO₂ emissions and operating costs.

Structurally, the crane uses high-tensile frame steel and modular counterweights for optimal transportation and on-site assembly. Transport efficiency is emphasized with disassembled transport weights of 32,000 kg and 26,000 kg, both maintaining a 2,990 mm transport width. This compactness ensures accessibility even in narrow or regulated road conditions.

From an operational standpoint, the 7200G features a large, ergonomically designed operator cab, equipped with air-conditioning, wide visibility, and integrated KCross remote monitoring system for real-time diagnostics. The operator interface includes a large LCD display, joystick controls, and support for multiple languages, designed for ease of use and operator safety.

Safety systems include a moment limiter, visual/audio overload warnings, auto shutdowns, swing brakes, anti-two block systems, drum rotation indicators, and automatic deceleration systems. The wide track system offers outstanding ground pressure distribution, with rated contact ground pressures of 123 kPa (crane configuration) and 130 kPa (luffing configuration). It can climb slopes up to 30% (16.7 degrees).

The standard wire ropes are:

  • Main & luffing winches: 28 mm (standard), 22 mm (optional)
  • Boom elevation: 22 mm rope

In conclusion, the Kobelco Mastertech 7200G is an advanced 200-ton crawler crane, delivering powerful lifting performance, modular boom and tower configurations, and state-of-the-art technology for safety, ecology, and productivity. It is a flagship crane tailored for demanding applications where both height and lifting capacity are critical.
