Kobelco BME800G

The Kobelco BME800G is built for mid-range heavy lifting applications where both reach and precision matter. Rated at a maximum lifting capacity of 80 tons at a 3.6-meter radius, the crane supports a boom length ranging from 12.2 meters to 54.9 meters, using high-tensile lattice construction with pin-connected sections for durability and ease of transport. It also features flexible auxiliary and third winch options to accommodate various lift setups.

The crane is powered by a HINO P11C-VC engine producing 271 kW at 1,850 rpm and 1,469 Nm of torque, compliant with European Stage IIIB and US EPA Interim Tier 4 standards. This power is transferred through a hydraulic system equipped with three variable displacement piston pumps delivering smooth, instant response to operator commands with system pressures up to 31.9 MPa. The BME800G includes large-capacity hydraulic (440 liters) and fuel (400 liters) tanks to support long shifts in the field.

The hoisting system uses front and rear drums powered by hydraulic variable plunger motors through planetary reducers, with each drum handling 26 mm diameter wire rope up to 175 meters (main) and 130 meters (auxiliary). The hoist system achieves maximum single-line speed of 120 m/min and rated line pull of 108 kN, with wet-type multiple disc brakes ensuring secure load handling.

The swing system uses dual planetary reducers driven by hydraulic motors, providing 360-degree rotation at 4 rpm. Spring-set, hydraulically released multiple-disc brakes are included on both swing motors for safety, and four-position swing locks provide stability during transport.

The lower structure is designed with quick-disconnect crawler assemblies, sealed rollers for reduced maintenance, and hydraulic track tensioning for operational efficiency. The undercarriage supports a maximum travel speed of 1.79 km/h and a gradeability of 30%, with 800 mm wide crawler shoes providing stable ground contact.

Weighing approximately 77 tons including its 25.4-ton counterweight, the BME800G achieves a ground pressure of 86.9 kPa. The operator cab is fully enclosed and fitted with air conditioning, ergonomic seating, safety glass, and multiple comfort features, delivering excellent visibility and precise control of boom, hoist, and swing operations.
