Product Description
The Sany SCC15000TM-1 is a flagship model in Sany’s heavy-duty crawler crane lineup, purpose-built for extreme lifting operations such as wind turbine installations, large-scale infrastructure projects, and power plant construction. First introduced with the aim to challenge international heavy lift standards, the SCC15000TM-1 stands out with a remarkable maximum lifting capacity of 1,000 tons and a lifting moment reaching 15,500 t·m when equipped with its full superlift configuration.
Its modular lattice boom can be configured for various applications, with the main boom ranging from 24 meters up to 126 meters with superlift, and up to an impressive 201 meters in total lifting height when paired with jibs. The crane supports multiple jib types including a 12–15 meter fixed jib and a 24–48 meter luffing jib. In wind power configurations, it can achieve a main boom + jib setup of up to 171 + 13 meters, enabling high-altitude component installations.
The SCC15000TM-1 is powered by a Cummins engine compliant with Euro Stage III emissions standards, delivering 447 kW at 1800 rpm, with a peak torque of 2542 N·m at 1400 rpm. Its hydraulic systems utilize closed-loop circuits for hoisting, slewing, and traveling, providing high energy efficiency, quick responsiveness, and minimal heat generation. The dual hoist system allows rope speeds of up to 172 m/min, and the superlift boom hoist system reaches up to 140 m/min.
For mobility, the crane employs two independently driven crawler tracks, powered by hydraulic motors with planetary reducers. It features dual travel speeds—up to 1.0 km/h in high-speed mode and 0.3 km/h in low-speed mode—with a 15% gradeability when carrying its basic boom configuration.
Operator comfort is elevated with a Porsche-style cab design, enhanced visibility via panoramic tempered glass panels, an ergonomic control layout, and a high-performance Red Dot brand air conditioning system capable of rapidly cooling the cabin from 55°C to 27.5°C. The cab can tilt up to 15° and rotate to facilitate transport and operation.
Its comprehensive safety systems include a proprietary load moment limiter, anti-two-block devices, boom angle limiters, real-time wind speed sensors, a multi-camera surveillance system, and remote diagnostics. A self-leveling outrigger system further aids in quick setup and increased stability on uneven terrain.
With a transport-optimized design, the SCC15000TM-1’s major components and attachments are engineered for modular disassembly. The heaviest single component during transport is approximately 59 tons, and the largest measures 14.3 × 3.45 × 2.95 meters, allowing reasonable ease in logistics despite the crane’s massive scale.
Altogether, the SCC15000TM-1 represents a blend of raw lifting power, intelligent control, and operator-centric design, positioning it as one of the most capable and versatile super-heavy crawler cranes in the global market.
