Sany SCL10000

Product Description

The Sany SCL10000 lattice boom truck crane represents the pinnacle of Sany’s all-terrain crane design, purpose-built for high-stakes applications such as wind power installation and petrochemical projects. Officially debuting as part of Sany’s elite heavy lift fleet, the SCL10000 features a remarkable 1000-ton maximum lifting capacity and a lifting moment rated at 11,000 t·m, placing it among the most powerful mobile cranes available globally.

This all-terrain crane is mounted on an 8-axle carrier (16×10 drive), offering both highway mobility and excellent off-road capability. Axles 1, 2, 4, and 6 are highway drive axles, while axles 7 and 8 are hydraulically driven for rough terrain. It features a hydro-pneumatic suspension system with six steering modes, including all-wheel and crab steering, allowing exceptional maneuverability on congested job sites.

The crane’s powertrain includes a WEICHAI WP15H660E61 diesel engine for the chassis, outputting 485 kW and compliant with China Stage VI emissions standards. Optionally, a Mercedes-Benz V8 engine is available. The superstructure is powered by a WEICHAI WP17 engine with 566 kW at 2100 rpm, producing a maximum torque of 3000 N·m. An optional Cummins QSX15-C600 Tier IV engine is also available, enabling compliance with Euro emission norms.

The SCL10000 supports a boom length of 24 to 108 meters in standard configuration and can reach up to 168 meters with the superlift mast. When paired with a 12-meter fixed jib, the maximum boom + jib combination reaches 171 + 12 meters. This makes the crane highly suitable for lifting tall wind turbine components. The fixed jib and superlift mast are lattice-type structures for maximum strength-to-weight efficiency.

Operational performance is bolstered by high-speed winches and smooth hydraulic operation. The main load hoist winches deliver a rope speed up to 172 m/min, while the auxiliary hoist reaches 124 m/min. The boom hoist winch offers twin-drum operation at 60 m/min each, and the superlift luffing winch runs at 130 m/min. Slewing speed tops at 0.8 rpm, ensuring precise load placement even with massive payloads.

Operator comfort and safety are also at the forefront. The upper cab, designed by Porsche, includes a tilting function up to 15°, ergonomic control layout, and advanced climate control that cools from 55°C to 27.5°C in under 20 minutes. A full suite of safety features includes electronic load moment indicators, anti-overhoist and over-release protection, automatic boom angle limiters, and real-time wind speed monitoring via anemometer.

To support massive lifting scenarios, the crane is equipped with a modular counterweight system totaling up to 930 tons—comprising 230 tons of machine counterweight, 500 tons of superlift counterweight, and 200 tons of additional rear counterweight when required.

Transport efficiency is also considered, with the heaviest transport module weighing 51 tons and maximum single-piece transport dimensions limited to 14.6 m × 3.0 m × 2.96 m, enabling compliance with standard heavy transport regulations.

In summary, the Sany SCL10000 is not just a crane; it is a mobile heavy-lift system engineered to exceed the demands of modern infrastructure and energy projects. It combines cutting-edge power, flexible configurations, and smart control systems, making it a highly competitive player in the global 1000-ton crane market.
