Product Description

The Kato KRM-13H-2, or MR-130R, is a 13-ton capacity rough terrain crane engineered for agility, high performance, and ease of transport. Debuted to serve urban and industrial lifting needs, this crane sports a compact structure with a total length of 7,440 mm, width of 1,995 mm, and height of 2,845 mm. It is built to operate efficiently within tight access areas and congested environments.

The crane’s main boom comprises a 6-section box-type telescopic design, extending from 5.3 m to a full 24.0 m. Complementing this is a two-stage offset hydraulic jib offering lengths between 3.6 m and 5.5 m, capable of operating at offset angles between 5° to 60°. This setup allows the crane to achieve a maximum lifting height of 24.8 m with the boom alone and up to 30.3 m with the jib.

The crane delivers a maximum rated load of 13,000 kg at a 1.7 m radius with the shortest boom. It retains solid lifting capabilities across all boom lengths — for instance, lifting 6,000 kg at a 4.0 m radius with the 9.04 m and 12.78 m booms, and 3,200 kg at a 5.5 m radius with the full 24 m boom. The jib can manage loads such as 1,600 kg at a 75° angle on the 3.6 m section and 1,000 kg at 70° on the 5.5 m extension.

A high-speed hydraulic winch offers rope speeds of up to 180 m/min for the main winch and 155 m/min for the auxiliary. Slewing is powered by a hydraulic motor with planetary gear reduction and a built-in negative brake, achieving a rotation speed of 2.4 rpm. Boom elevation ranges from -7.5° to +82°, taking just 30 seconds for full travel, with extension achieved in 65 seconds over 18.7 m.

The undercarriage is equipped with an X-type fully hydraulic outrigger system, offering multiple span settings: 4,750 mm max, and intermediate settings at 4,300 mm, 3,700 mm, and 2,700 mm. The drive system includes selectable 2WD/4WD with a top speed of 49 km/h and climbing ability of 56% (tanθ = 0.56). The smallest turning radius is an impressive 3.92 m when using four-wheel steering.

It is powered by a Mitsubishi 4M50-TLE3A 4-cylinder intercooler turbo diesel engine producing 129 kW at 2,700 rpm and 530 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm. The fuel tank holds 250 liters. The suspension is comprised of tapered leaf springs with hydraulic locking cylinders, ensuring stability across varying terrains. A 2-mode automatic transmission and torque converter handle shifting smoothly with 4 forward and 1 reverse gear.

The crane is equipped with a full suite of operator and safety features including a high-visibility cab, air conditioning, ACS (Automatic Moment Limiter), overload protection, automatic brake systems, and monitoring sensors. The ergonomic operator cab is fitted with power windows, tilting/telescoping steering, a suspension seat, and various comfort elements such as a lunch table and AM/FM radio.

Compact, feature-rich, and built with operator safety and urban efficiency in mind, the KRM-13H-2 is ideal for lifting applications requiring both maneuverability and performance.
