Product Description
The Potain Igo 18 self-erecting tower crane is a versatile lifting solution engineered for smaller construction sites where space and mobility are critical. With a maximum lifting capacity of 1,800 kg, the Igo 18 can support tip loads of 700 kg at 24 meters, offering exceptional performance for a crane of its size. Its maximum under-hook height is approximately 19.1 meters in flat jib configuration, which increases up to 25.7 meters when the jib is inclined at 20°, enabling greater flexibility in complex environments.
The crane offers three working jib configurations—20 m, 22 m, and 24 m—providing users with tailored reach and load balance to suit the job. Its compact 3.6 m x 3.6 m base and small transport dimensions allow for easy relocation and deployment, even on constrained or urban job sites. The Igo 18 can be erected hydraulically, and is compatible with standard transport trailers, fitting within a 40-foot high cube container profile.
It is powered by the 8 LVF 9 Optima hoisting mechanism, which supports lifting speeds of up to 39 m/min, varying with voltage input and load. The 1 DVF 4 trolley system operates at 14 to 28 m/min, and the RVF 20 slewing unit allows for rotation speeds up to 1 rpm, all benefiting from variable frequency drive control for smooth and precise operation.
Electrical compatibility is a strong suit for the Igo 18. It can operate on 230V single-phase, 400V three-phase (50 Hz), or 480V three-phase (60 Hz) power systems, with total power requirements ranging from 4.6 to 11 kVA. The crane is equipped with SmartCom and Top Zone functionality for zoning control and remote diagnostics.
Certified under EN 14439 C25-D25 / C50-D50 and FEM 1.001-A3, the Igo 18 complies with international standards for safety and structural performance. With a transport weight of approximately 12.1 tonnes (including ballast) and a straightforward setup, it is the preferred choice for builders looking for speed, simplicity, and efficiency in self-erecting crane operations.
