The HK 4.050-1 is highly maneuverable thanks to a tridem rear axle with a steered trailing axle, which reduces the turn radius. In addition, two drive axles provide optimum tractive force.

No special permits are required to travel with a counterweight of up to 4.5 tonnes aboard, and with a total weight of up to 32 tonnes, the crane can be moved within the permissible total truck weight.. The air-ride rear axles ensure extraordinary stability. Thanks to H-style outriggers and five outrigger bases, the HK 4.050-1 can easily do its work at challenging work sites. An optional trailer can be used to haul additional crane equipment and counterweight.
