Product Description

The Tadano ATF 100-5 is a powerful and agile 100-ton capacity all terrain crane designed to handle a wide variety of lifting challenges with ease. Constructed on a torsion-resistant welded frame of high-strength fine-grained steel, it features a five-axle (10×6) carrier with hydro-pneumatic suspension and automatic levelling, ensuring both strength and flexibility across diverse terrains.

The crane is equipped with a five-section box-type telescopic main boom fabricated from fine-grained high-tensile steel. It includes one base section and four telescoping sections that extend fully hydraulically from 12.8 meters to 51.0 meters. The boom system is supported by a swing-away lattice extension ranging from 9.0 to 16.2 meters, including a 7.5-meter stinger and a 6-meter insert. This configuration offers a total maximum boom length of 30.1 meters and offset angles of 5°, 20°, or 40°, providing excellent up-and-over reach.

Power is supplied by two Mercedes-Benz diesel engines. The carrier is powered by an OM 502 LA, 8-cylinder diesel engine (EUROMOT 2 / EPA 2) producing 350 kW (476 hp) at 2000 rpm and 2100 Nm of torque. It is paired with an Allison HD 4560 P automatic transmission, offering 6 forward and 1 reverse gear with a hydrodynamic torque converter and lock-up. A Steyr VG1600 two-stage transfer case provides additional off-road range. The superstructure is powered by a 4-cylinder OM 904 LA engine rated at 130 kW (177 hp) and 660 Nm of torque.

All five axles are steerable, with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th axles driven, ensuring maximum control and maneuverability in tight spaces and difficult terrain. Braking is managed via a dual-circuit compressed air system with parking brakes acting on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th axles. The crane rolls on 10×14.00 R 25 tires, suitable for both on-road and rough jobsite conditions.

The crane’s hydraulic system is a three-circuit design using a double axial piston variable displacement pump and a double gear pump. Hoisting is handled by an axial piston motor with planetary reduction and multi-disc braking. Slewing is controlled by a constant displacement motor with a 3-stage planetary gear system and foot-operated brake, offering slewing speeds from 0 to 1.5 rpm.

Both the carrier and superstructure cabs are designed for comfort and visibility, featuring panoramic tinted safety glass, ergonomic controls, and integrated heating systems. The superstructure cab includes air suspension seating and LCD graphic displays for monitoring operations.

Standard safety features include Tadano’s PAT-PDC load moment system, hoist and swing limit switches, drum turn indicators, and holding valves on all key hydraulic cylinders. Additional options include boom lighting, auxiliary winches, towing attachments, tire pressure monitors, engine pre-heat, and cold weather packages.

Combining robust lifting capacity, advanced mobility, and comprehensive safety systems, the Tadano ATF 100-5 is built to meet the demands of modern lifting operations across infrastructure, utility, and heavy construction projects.
