Product Description

The Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX1500-2 is a powerful and versatile crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 150 tons at a 4.1-meter working radius in liftcrane mode. It comes with a basic boom length of either 12 or 15 meters, extendable up to a maximum boom length of 75 meters. For increased reach and flexibility, a fly jib can be added, available in lengths from 10 to 28 meters. The maximum combined boom and fly jib configuration is 88 meters (60+28) or 85 meters (63+22), offering great flexibility for various lifting tasks.

The crane’s rope line system ensures high efficiency during operations. The front and rear main drums are capable of speeds up to 110 meters per minute, while the boom hoist drum operates at 46 meters per minute. These speeds allow for precise and rapid positioning of loads. In clamshell mode, the rope speed for bucket holding and closing is 75 meters per minute, ensuring smooth and efficient excavation or material handling.

For smooth and controlled operation, the SCX1500-2 features a slewing speed of 1.9 revolutions per minute (rpm), providing precise rotation of the crane for accurate load positioning. The travel speed is adjustable between high (1.7 km/h) and low (1.0 km/h) modes, allowing the crane to maneuver efficiently across various terrains, making it ideal for diverse job site conditions. With a gradeability of 30%, the crane can also navigate inclined or uneven surfaces with ease.

The crane is powered by an Isuzu 6HK1X engine, a reliable and fuel-efficient diesel engine that meets modern emission standards. The engine generates a rated output of 212 kW at 2,000 rpm, providing ample power for demanding lifting and clamshell operations.

In terms of ground stability, the SCX1500-2 has a ground contact pressure of 96 kPa when equipped with a 15-meter boom and 135-ton hook block in liftcrane mode. In clamshell mode, the ground contact pressure is slightly lower, at 90.4 kPa, when equipped with a 2.5 m³, 5.5-ton bucket. These values ensure the crane operates safely on various ground conditions, distributing its weight effectively to minimize ground disturbance.

The crane’s operating weight varies depending on the configuration. In liftcrane mode with a 15-meter basic boom and 135-ton hook block, the operating weight is 129 tons. In clamshell configuration, with a 15-meter boom and 2.5 m³ bucket, the weight is approximately 121.9 tons, ensuring a stable platform for heavy lifting or excavation.

Overall, the Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX1500-2 is a highly capable crawler crane that excels in both heavy lifting and clamshell operations. Its powerful engine, extensive boom configurations, and efficient operation make it an excellent choice for large-scale construction and industrial projects.
