Product Description
The Kobelco 7055-3F is a versatile 55-ton capacity crawler crane designed to handle demanding lifting tasks on construction sites ranging from general building work to foundation and infrastructure projects. It offers a maximum rated lifting capacity of 55 tons at a 3.7-meter radius with its main lattice boom. The boom can be configured between 9.1 meters and 51.8 meters in length, allowing flexibility across diverse lifting needs.
For applications requiring extended reach, the crane can be fitted with a fixed jib or configured with a tower and tower jib system. The fixed jib supports combinations such as 42.7 meters of boom plus 12.2 meters of jib, or 39.6 meters plus 18.3 meters, providing additional tip height and reach. The tower jib arrangement allows for tower lengths up to 42.4 meters combined with tower jibs up to 29 meters, expanding its operational envelope especially in urban or congested worksites.
The 7055-3F is powered by a Hino J08E-TM diesel engine delivering 159 kW at 2,000 rpm, meeting Stage IIIA and Tier III emissions standards. It is equipped with three variable displacement piston pumps providing high-efficiency hydraulic power to the hoist, swing, and travel systems. The load hoist system offers line speeds ranging from 120 to 3 meters per minute with a rated single-line pull of 68.6 kN (7 metric tons). Swing operations are smooth and precise with a swing speed of 4 rpm and integrated hydraulic multiple-disc brakes for secure parking.
The undercarriage is robust and stable, with hydraulically extendable/retractable crawlers and a maximum travel speed of 2.4 km/h. The crane achieves gradeability up to 40%, ensuring maneuverability on uneven or sloped terrain. Wide 760 mm crawler shoes and sealed track rollers provide excellent ground contact and reduced maintenance.
Operator comfort and safety are central to the design, with a fully enclosed cab featuring large safety glass windows, ergonomic controls, air conditioning, and ample storage and convenience features. The hydraulic system employs load-sensing feedback and variable displacement control to provide precise, smooth handling under various load conditions.
Safety features include spring-set hydraulically released multi-disc brakes on all hoist drums and swing mechanisms, boom backstops, drum ratchet locks, and standard anti-two block protection. The main counterweight is 15.2 tons with an optional additional 3.3-ton counterweight for tower erection operations.
Built with welded lattice booms of high-tensile tubular steel, pin-connected sections, and heavy-duty drums grooved for high-capacity wire ropes, the 7055-3F is engineered for long-term durability and high performance on demanding projects. Its ability to handle a wide range of lifting configurations makes it an excellent choice for foundation work, clamshell, pile driving, general construction, and industrial lifting applications.
