Product Description
The CKE600-1F from Kobelco is a 60-ton (metric) class hydraulic crawler crane, known for its compact footprint, powerful lifting capabilities, and dependable hydraulic operation. It features a main lattice boom ranging from 9.1 to 51.8 meters, constructed from high-tensile tubular steel with pinned modular sections, enabling rapid assembly and reconfiguration. The boom system supports a variety of fixed jib combinations, including:
- 42.7 m boom + 12.2 m jib
- 39.6 m boom + 18.3 m jib
These combinations allow a maximum lifting height of up to 66.3 meters, making it ideal for handling steel erection, pre-cast concrete, or utility components.
At its core is a Hino J08E-TM turbocharged, water-cooled diesel engine producing 159 kW (213 hp) at 2000 rpm, compliant with NRMM Stage IIIA and US EPA Tier III standards. The engine is matched with a full-flow hydraulic system using three main variable displacement piston pumps, ensuring high-speed and synchronized operation of the winches, boom, swing, and travel systems.
The crane’s main and auxiliary winches offer:
- Rated line pull: 68.6 kN (7.0 tons)
- Line speed: 3 – 120 m/min
- Wire rope capacity: 180 m (main), 130 m (auxiliary) using 22 mm rope
The swing system provides 360° continuous rotation at up to 4.0 rpm, controlled by a hydraulic motor with planetary reduction gearing and integrated spring-set brakes for precise and safe operation.
Crawler mobility is delivered through independent hydrostatic drives for each track, enabling counter-rotation, pivot turns, and skid steering. The 760 mm wide track shoes give a low ground bearing pressure and the undercarriage is hydraulically extendable for transport and stability.
The operator’s cab is enclosed, air-conditioned, and fitted with an ergonomic console, intuitive joysticks, color display, and safety features such as load moment indicators (LMI), drum rotation indicators, over-hoist prevention, and boom angle sensors.
The total operating weight is approximately 56.7 tons, including 15.2 tons of counterweight, supported by a standard carbody weight of 6.3 tons. Counterweights can be self-installed via hydraulic cylinders, facilitating setup without auxiliary cranes.
In summary, the Kobelco CKE600-1F offers an ideal combination of reach, lifting strength, transportability, and control, making it well-suited for a wide array of medium-scale lifting projects in urban, industrial, and infrastructure environments.
