Key Features & Benefits

The SANY SCC22000A represents the apex of crawler crane development, designed for lifting megastructures and managing the most demanding construction tasks in the world. This crane boasts a maximum rated lifting capacity of 2200 tons, and a staggering lifting moment of 38,000 t·m, making it one of the most powerful land-based lifting machines on the global market.

The crane’s boom system is designed for long-reach, heavy-lift applications. The main boom can be configured from 54 meters up to 168 meters using modular lattice sections. For jobs requiring even greater reach and precision placement, the SCC22000A supports a boom and luffing jib combination of up to 108+108 meters. This configuration is essential for tasks like high-altitude wind turbine installation, modular refinery units, and nuclear infrastructure, where height and load radius are both critical.

The SCC22000A employs a state-of-the-art superlift system, which includes a counterweight trolley on tracks with up to 900 tons of counterweight and a maximum superlift radius of 36 meters. This enables high stability even under asymmetrical load conditions and enhances lifting performance at large working radii.

At the heart of this behemoth is a Cummins QST30 Tier 2 engine, a 12-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with water cooling, producing 746 kW (1000 hp) at 1800 rpm. It is designed to deliver high torque at low RPM—maximizing lifting control and fuel efficiency. The engine is paired with a large 2000-liter fuel tank to support extended lifting operations without frequent refueling, making it ideal for isolated or remote jobsites.

The crane features a high-performance hydraulic system with load-sensing and power-regulated pumps that adjust flow according to load demand, enhancing lifting precision. Its main hoist and auxiliary winches achieve rope speeds of up to 110 m/min, allowing efficient handling of long-lift operations.

Slewing speed reaches 0.8 rpm, and the crane uses dual crawler assemblies with independently driven travel motors, enabling steering and travel under full load in select configurations. The maximum travel speed is 0.9 km/h, suitable for repositioning across large industrial sites. The SCC22000A also supports a variety of hook blocks—including 800t, 1250t, and 2200t—tailored for different rigging needs.

The cab is ergonomically engineered with panoramic visibility, dual-screen displays, integrated load and motion monitoring, and real-time diagnostics. Safety systems include SANY’s proprietary LMI (Load Moment Indicator), anti-two-block, automatic cut-off for overload, and emergency stop systems. Optional remote monitoring and telematics systems allow fleet managers to oversee crane operations in real-time.

In terms of transport, despite its size, the SCC22000A is modularized for international shipping. Its design allows disassembly into components no heavier than 45 tons (excluding large structural pieces), aligning with highway and port transport limits.

The SANY SCC22000A redefines the limits of land-based lifting. Whether used for offshore module integration, wind energy erection, or petrochemical megaprojects, this crane offers unmatched capability, stability, and precision for the heaviest, most complex lifts in the modern construction landscape.
