Sany SCC1200TB Telescopic Crawler Crane

Product Description

The Sany SCC1200TB telescopic crawler crane represents a robust solution for medium to heavy lifting operations where mobility, reach, and versatility are crucial. With a lifting capacity rated at 120 tonnes, this crane combines the advantages of a telescopic boom design with the all-terrain mobility of a crawler chassis. Its primary strength lies in its full-powered six-section boom, which extends from 12.8 meters to 59 meters, allowing for flexible lifting configurations. When outfitted with the fixed jib—offered in lengths of 10.2 meters and 17.5 meters—the maximum boom+jib combination reaches 76.5 meters, making it suitable for tasks such as wind turbine maintenance, steel erection, and plant equipment installation.

The SCC1200TB is engineered around a powerful 6HK1XKJC-01 Isuzu diesel engine, which is a 7.79-liter, turbocharged, intercooled, six-cylinder engine producing 212 kW at 2000 rpm and a maximum torque of 1080 Nm at 1500 rpm. It complies with Tier III off-highway emission standards in both Europe and China, reflecting its global application readiness. The engine powers a hydraulic system built on a variable displacement open piston pump, supplemented by a dual gear pump to serve slewing and servo systems. The hydraulic oil tank holds 950 liters, while system pressures reach up to 32 MPa for lifting and travel circuits, and 24 MPa for slewing.

One of the notable strengths of this crane is its dual winch system for main and auxiliary hoisting, both offering a maximum rope speed of 130 meters per minute, with a Φ22 mm wire rope and a rated single-line pull of 10.5 tonnes. The boom luffing system provides a range from 0° to 80°, facilitated by a dead-weight luffing mechanism that improves operational smoothness and reduces energy consumption. Slewing is handled through an external gearing drive with a rotation speed of up to 1.6 rpm, with braking via a concealed, wet-type, spring-loaded system for secure positioning.

The SCC1200TB’s crawler chassis offers both high stability and transport flexibility. The track shoes are 850 mm wide, and the machine can retract from a full transport width of 5.25 meters down to 3.49 meters, with an overall length of 16.23 meters. Travel speed reaches 1.65 km/h, and the crane can handle slopes up to 40%, making it suitable for uneven or challenging site conditions. Each track is independently driven for precise turning and travel control. Transport of the crane is facilitated by modular component design—the heaviest single transport unit, the base machine, weighs 45.2 tonnes without the hooks. The overall crane weight is 105 tonnes, including 32 tonnes of rear counterweight and 6 tonnes of carbody counterweight.

The crane’s cab is designed with operator comfort and efficiency in mind. It includes a 10.4-inch touch screen display, air conditioning, ergonomic controls, and integrated safety systems. The SCC1200TB is equipped with an advanced SYIC-II integrated control system developed by SANY. This system offers real-time monitoring of key operational parameters including boom angle, wind speed, oil pressure, and lifting weight. Additionally, the crane includes a comprehensive Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system that automatically detects load, boom position, and radius, and prevents overload by cutting off crane motion in unsafe directions. It also features a built-in black box for overload event recording.

From a safety perspective, the SCC1200TB includes numerous systems such as over-hoist and over-release protection, emergency stop, slewing lock, seat interlock, and rear-view monitoring cameras. The boom is fabricated using high-strength U-section steel, ensuring both durability and lightness. Additional features include function lockout to prevent mis-operation, GPS-based remote monitoring, and a multi-color load indicator system for visual feedback on lifting safety margins.

In practical lifting applications, the SCC1200TB’s load charts show its capacity to lift 120 tonnes at minimal radius under optimal conditions (track extended, full counterweight), and tapering loads as boom extends or radius increases. With the fixed jib installed, it can handle loads in the range of 1.1 to 6.8 tonnes at large radii, depending on angle and configuration. This makes it especially versatile in mid-rise construction, bridge work, and power station erection.

In summary, the Sany SCC1200TB is a powerful and intelligent telescopic crawler crane designed for job sites that demand a balance of lifting strength, reach, mobility, and control. Its integration of modern hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic systems, combined with transportability and rugged crawler undercarriage, makes it a reliable choice for contractors working across a wide range of industrial and infrastructure sectors.
