Product Description

The Potain Igo 50 is a robust and highly adaptable self-erecting tower crane engineered for mid-sized construction sites. With a maximum lifting capacity of 4,000 kg and multiple jib configurations, it offers a maximum reach of 40 meters and can lift 1,000 to 1,100 kg at the tip. Designed to minimize setup time and maximize operational efficiency, the Igo 50 provides flexible and powerful lifting capabilities in a compact footprint.

This crane supports three standard jib configurations—28 m, 36 m, and 40 m—offering maximum hook heights of up to 29.6 meters depending on the setup. The jib can be set flat or inclined at an angle of 8° or 20°, depending on operational needs. With a 4.5 m x 4.5 m base, the crane maintains a small site footprint while offering extensive reach and height.

The Igo 50 is powered by the 15 LVF 10 Optima hoist mechanism, which delivers lifting speeds ranging from 3.6 m/min to 66.5 m/min, tailored to different load conditions. The trolley mechanism, 3 DVF 5, adjusts its speed based on the load, offering a range from 15 m/min to 45 m/min. Slewing is controlled by the RVF 51 Optima+ system, enabling smooth and precise rotation at speeds of up to 0.8 rpm.

Electrical operation is highly versatile, supporting 400V 50Hz and 480V 60Hz input, with a 17 kVA power requirement, allowing deployment across various regions. The crane includes SmartCom connectivity and is compliant with EN 14439 C25-D25 and C50-D50 as well as FEM 1.001-A3 standards. Its anti-collision system and Smart Zone technology further enhance site safety and operational control.

Transport and deployment of the Igo 50 are simplified by its compact folding design and efficient weight distribution, allowing components to be transported using standard trailers. It can also be moved while fully ballasted under select conditions.

Overall, the Igo 50 is designed to bring high lifting power, intelligent controls, and streamlined logistics to medium-scale building projects, offering the reliability and performance expected of the Potain self-erecting crane family.
