It is available in both 5-axle and 6-axle chassis versions for regional compliance.

Product Description
The Demag AC535 is a robust and high-performing 200-tonne all-terrain crane designed for demanding lifting tasks across diverse industries. With an official lifting classification of 180 tonnes at a 3-meter working radius, the AC535 offers powerful performance in a compact, mobile form. One of the most distinctive features of the AC535 is its availability in two different chassis configurations: a 6-axle variant with 72-tonne axle loads and a 5-axle variant with 60-tonne axle loads, allowing flexibility for regional road regulations and varying transport limitations.
The crane is equipped with a 5-section main telescopic boom extending from 14.7 meters to 60.0 meters, constructed using high-strength steel and operated via Demag’s advanced hydraulic boom system. The telescopic boom design ensures seamless and efficient boom extension under load and provides an optimal combination of height, capacity, and reach. The full counterweight configuration includes 64 tonnes of counterweights to maximize lifting capabilities across the crane’s working range.
For added reach and flexibility, the AC535 is equipped with a fixed jib system that offers multiple extension options: 9.7m, 14.5m, 20.5m, 26.5m, and 32.5m. The jib can be offset at angles of 0°, 20°, and 40°, providing increased versatility in working under obstructions or for steep-angle lifting. In its maximum boom + jib setup (60.0m main boom + 32.5m fixed jib), the crane can achieve a total lifting height of 92.5 meters.
In addition to the fixed jib, the AC535 also supports a luffing jib system ranging from 20 to 58 meters in length. With the luffing jib attached, the crane can reach a maximum lifting height of 96 meters in the configuration of a 35-meter main boom + 3-meter adapter + 58-meter luffing jib. Another commonly used setup includes a 50.2-meter main boom + 3-meter adapter + 41-meter luffing jib, providing a reach of 94.2 meters. These high-reach capabilities make the AC535 especially suitable for wind turbine erection, tall structure maintenance, and other vertical-heavy applications.
The Demag AC535 also features Demag’s advanced control system for enhanced precision and safety during lifts, while the undercarriage design ensures excellent maneuverability and roadability. The crane is outfitted with large-diameter tyres, hydro-pneumatic suspension, and multi-axle steering, delivering excellent off-road capability and stability during transport and setup.
The AC535 represents a well-balanced blend of lifting power, reach, and mobility. It stands as one of the more advanced options in the 200-ton class segment and is engineered to meet the high standards of performance, safety, and operational efficiency expected from Demag cranes. Whether on large construction sites or in tight urban environments, the AC535 delivers superior lifting solutions with maximum adaptability.
