Liebherr LTM 1100NV
The Liebherr LTM 1100NV is a 100-ton class all-terrain crane specifically configured for the Japanese domestic market. It features a six-section telescopic boom extending up to 52 meters, a dual-engine setup, and exceptional maneuverability through rear steering and compact dimensions.

Product Description
Designed with precision to match Japan’s transport and operational restrictions, the Liebherr LTM 1100NV all-terrain crane is rated for a 100-ton maximum lifting capacity at a 2.5-meter working radius. It carries a six-section main boom, extending from a minimum of 11.5 meters to a maximum of 52 meters. The machine supports a hydraulic folding jib with configurations of 10.8 meters and 19 meters, expanding reach flexibility to a maximum lifting height of 70 meters using jib extensions.
Equipped with two winches, both offer a line pull capacity of 8.8 tons and operate at a speed of 0–110 meters per minute. The wire ropes for both winches are 21 mm in diameter and reach up to 200 meters in length. The slewing system enables 360° rotation with a speed of 0–1.8 rpm. Telescoping the main boom fully from 11.5 to 52 meters takes approximately 360 seconds, and elevation from -2° to 82° is achieved in about 60 seconds.
The crane’s superstructure is powered by a Liebherr D924TI-EA4 diesel engine, producing 202 HP at 1800 rpm with a maximum torque of 90.9 kg·m at 1200 rpm. It is paired with a 265-liter fuel tank. Advanced electric-pilot joystick controls are featured, along with the LICCON system that digitally displays critical safety data including load radius, lifting height, and operating angles.
The undercarriage features a 4-axle configuration with 8 wheels and 16.00 R25 tires. Powered by a separate Liebherr D846TI A5 six-cylinder diesel engine, the carrier produces 460 HP at 1900 rpm and 214.2 kg·m torque between 900–1300 rpm. Its 400-liter fuel tank supports extended operation. The drive system reaches speeds up to 80 km/h and supports a gradeability of approximately 30.9°, making it suitable for hilly terrain.
Notable for its maneuverability, the LTM 1100NV utilizes a rear steering system with steerable axles 1, 2, and 4 under normal operation, and allows independent steering of axles 3 and 4 for tight navigation in urban job sites. The minimum turning radius is 9.06 meters, further reducing to 7.22 meters with optimized rear steer. Suspension is handled via a hydropneumatic system with automatic leveling for maximum ride quality and crane stability.
As per Japan’s road regulations, the LTM 1100NV must remove both the main boom and counterweight for public road travel. The crane demonstrates Liebherr’s continued adaptation of global technology for local compliance, balancing compact road dimensions with strong on-site performance for high-capacity lifting tasks.
