Product Description

The new eight-axle 600 ton comes with a totally new concept of Triple Boom system, eliminating the need for boom suspension system (or called superlift) which will be cost saving on transportation in the long run. The Triple Boom system has three telescopic tubes, designed to increase torsional stiffness. Explained by Tadano, it is a pure physic engineering which the further away the materials of a load bearing structure are from the center of that structure’s cross-section, the more stable the overall system will be.

It has a 15.3 to 56-meter main boom and 24 to 90-meter boom extension, allowing a maximum working radius of 104 meters. It is much comparable to Liebherr LTM1500-8.1 on a 50-meter main boom with 91-meter luffing jib, but the lifting capacities charts still need to be further analyzed.

Tadano has stuck to their belief of a two-engine concept instead of the new single concept adopted by manufacturers like Terex on its new Explorer Series and Liebherr LTM 1250-6.1 250 ton all terrain crane and LTM1300-6.2 300 ton all terrain crane. The ATF600G-8 is powered by two Mercedes Benz Euromot 4 engines. A 460 kW (626 HP) on the carrier and a 260 kW (354 HP) engine in its superstructure.

The dimensions of the crane are 21.7m long, 3m wide and 3.93m high. Total transportation weight is 96 ton which keeps the 12 ton per axle limit.

In order to give the 600 ton all terrain a groundbreaking performance, new technical features such as asymmetric outrigger base control, Hello-Net fleet management system, next-generation AML crane control system has been added as a selling point for this crane as well.
