Hitachi KH100D

The Hitachi KH100D is a specialized dragline crane based on the KH100-2 model, specifically designed for heavy-duty excavation and material handling tasks. This crane is fitted with a dragline bucket system, enabling it to efficiently handle excavation at great distances from the machine. The crane’s maximum rated load stands at 3,300 kg (7,300 lb), providing solid performance for various digging and earth-moving applications.

The boom length of the KH100D ranges from 10 m (32’10”) to 19 m (62’4″), giving operators flexibility in different operational setups. Its boom angle allows for a wide working radius and a maximum digging reach of 16,000 mm (52’7″), enabling deep excavations and broad digging areas. The maximum digging depth is 7.9 m (25’11”), and the machine can achieve a maximum dumping height of 9.3 m (30’6″), making it ideal for tasks requiring high reach and precision.

The operating weight of the KH100D is 35,500 kg (78,000 lb), which includes the basic boom and a 1.0 m³ (1.31 cu yd) bucket with a counterweight of 8,800 kg (19,400 lb). This weight ensures stability during lifting and digging operations, even in challenging conditions. It also operates with a ground pressure of 0.58 bar (8.41 psi), making it stable and effective on various terrains without damaging the ground surface.

The crane can be equipped with different bucket sizes, including:

• 0.6 m³ (0.78 cu yd) bucket, for heavy-duty applications, with a bucket clearance of 4.0 m (13’2″).
• 0.8 m³ (1.05 cu yd) bucket, for medium-duty applications, also offering a 4.0 m (13’2″) bucket clearance.
• 1.0 m³ (1.31 cu yd) bucket, for medium-duty applications, with a clearance of 4.2 m (13’9″).
