IHI CCH1200

The IHI CCH1200 is a full-hydraulic crawler crane with a 120-ton rated capacity at a 5-meter working radius, designed for mid- to heavy-duty lifting tasks in civil engineering, infrastructure, and plant construction. The crane supports a main boom length ranging from 18 to 75 meters and can be fitted with jib lengths of 13, 19, or 25 meters. The maximum boom + jib configuration yields a total lifting height of 88 meters (63 m boom + 25 m jib).

Powered by a Hino K13TJ diesel engine, the crane generates 320 PS at 2000 rpm. The engine is turbocharged and water-cooled, with a displacement of 12.882 liters and supported by a 450-liter fuel tank. The drivetrain includes a variable displacement axial piston hydraulic motor, and the system delivers efficient winch performance with main and auxiliary drum speeds of up to 100 m/min (high), 50 m/min (medium), and 25 m/min (low). Boom hoisting/lowering operates at 60–30 m/min, and slewing is rated at 2.2 rpm.

Travel speed varies between 1.0 km/h and 0.62 mph (1.5 km/h max), with a gradeability of 30% (approx. 16.7°). The boom hoist system and load hoist systems utilize planetary gears, wet multi-disk brakes, ratchet locks, and lebus-grooved tandem drums, ensuring steady and precise handling under load. Rope configurations include:

• Load hoist: 26 mm rope with 61.0-ton breaking strength
• Boom hoist: 22 mm, 36.3-ton
• Boom suspension: 31.5 mm, 74.9-ton
• Jib suspension and jib strut: 28 mm, 59.3-ton

The CCH1200 operates with a 50-ton counterweight and achieves a total machine weight of approximately 121.5 tons when configured with an 18-meter boom and 120-ton hook block. It applies an average ground bearing pressure of 0.92 kgf/cm², allowing safe use across a wide variety of terrain types.

Standard equipment includes advanced safety systems like automatic hook and boom overwind stops, telescopic boom limit stops, swing locks, drum locks, and counterbalance valves. Operator convenience features include a low-noise cab, reclining seat, rearview mirrors, hydraulic assist braking, and an “A” frame for boom erection. The crane also includes amenities like signal horns, ashtray, radio, lighting, and electric engine controls.
