Product Description

The Kobelco 7100 crawler crane is a reliable 100-ton class lattice boom model built to handle medium to heavy lifting operations in construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects. Introduced as part of Kobelco’s commitment to dependable engineering, the crane integrates a Mitsubishi 6D22-T water-cooled, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that delivers 184 kW (250 PS) at 2,000 rpm and a peak torque of 1.03 kNm at 1,400 rpm. It supports a 400-liter fuel tank and a dry-type air cleaner, ensuring prolonged operation even under demanding conditions.

A standout feature of the 7100 is its robust hydraulic system, powered by five heavy-duty pumps with variable displacement. These pumps manage the load hoist, boom hoist, and propel circuits, along with the swing and auxiliary systems. The control system ensures responsive and precise adjustments, contributing to stable operations and effective inching control.

The hoisting system utilizes tandem drums powered by axial piston motors and planetary reducers, providing rope line speeds ranging from 1.5 to 45 m/min. It supports heavy-duty lifting with a maximum permissible line pull of 11,000 kg, using standard 26 mm wire ropes. The crane features both front and rear drums, each with independent controls and hydraulic braking systems for safe operation.

The telescopic boom, constructed from high-tensile steel lattice tubing, has a basic length of 18.3 m and can extend to a maximum of 73.2 m. An optional fixed jib adds up to 24.4 m, increasing the crane’s working radius and lifting flexibility. The boom structure is designed for optimal strength-to-weight ratio, allowing safe lifting even at longer radii. Hook blocks are available in configurations from 100 tons to 11 tons, with varying sheave counts to accommodate different load profiles.

Mounted on steel-welded carbody and crawler assemblies, the undercarriage supports 59 shoes per side with 910 mm width, offering excellent ground pressure distribution at 85 kPa. The crawler drives, built with independent hydraulic motors, allow precise maneuvering with a maximum travel speed of 1.3 km/h and 30% gradeability.

Safety is a core element, with features such as load moment limiter, hook over-hoist protection, boom angle indicators, travel alarms, and emergency stop switches integrated throughout the machine. The cab is ergonomically designed with full-vision panels, a sliding front window, and a full suite of operator controls and displays.

Combining power, versatility, and proven Kobelco engineering, the 7100 offers outstanding lifting performance and reliability for critical lifting tasks across a wide range of environments.
