Product Description

The SANY SCC9000A crawler crane represents an evolution of SANY’s heavy-lift technology in the 900-ton class, integrating advanced lifting capabilities, structural innovation, and modern safety systems. It is engineered specifically to meet the complex demands of large-scale construction such as offshore wind installation, power plant erection, and petrochemical facility assembly.

The crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of 900 tons, achieved through optimized counterweight balancing and superlift assistance. The main boom ranges from 30 to 108 meters, and when combined with the luffing jib, it can form configurations like 84 meters main boom plus 96 meters jib, or 96 + 84 meters, depending on operational needs. The luffing jib itself spans from 30 to 96 meters, while a 12-meter fixed jib is available for high-radius lifting scenarios.

A highlight of the SCC9000A is its dual-engine setup, featuring two Mercedes-Benz OM502LA diesel engines, each delivering 450 kW (603 hp). These engines comply with Stage III emission standards and provide synchronized hydraulic power to all major crane functions. The advanced hydraulic system incorporates load sensing and closed-loop control for precise motion management and high operational efficiency.

The main hoisting winches utilize 32 mm diameter wire rope, with a maximum line speed of 120 m/min and a line pull of 22 tons, offering strong, responsive lifting for heavy modules. The slewing system, powered by dual motors, supports a maximum rotation speed of 1.0 rpm for smooth, 360-degree load handling.

The crawler traveling system includes dual drives and supports a maximum travel speed of 0.8 km/h with a 20% gradeability, ensuring the crane can maneuver effectively on most job sites. Despite its size, the SCC9000A maintains ground bearing pressure as low as 0.13 MPa, allowing deployment without extreme ground reinforcement.

To counterbalance heavy lifts, the crane incorporates 75 tons of carbody counterweight, 225 tons of upper counterweight, and 400 tons of superlift counterweight. The total operating weight, including base boom and 900t hook, is approximately 726 tons.

The crane also features a comprehensive suite of electronic safety systems, including a Load Moment Indicator (LMI), boom angle limiters, over-hoist and over-lower protections, and hydraulic pressure overload cut-offs. It is also equipped with real-time monitoring, remote diagnostics, and automatic deceleration to enhance both operational awareness and long-term equipment health.

Transport logistics have been simplified through a modular design. The largest transport module is approximately 3.5 meters wide and 15 meters long, with a transport weight below 50 tons, ensuring compatibility with heavy-load transport vehicles under most road regulations.

Altogether, the SANY SCC9000A blends power, safety, and versatility—making it a flagship choice for contractors tackling some of the world’s heaviest and most technically demanding lifts.
