Sany SCC900HD-6

The Sany SCC900HD-6 is a 90-tonne capacity crawler crane built for demanding lifting applications and job site versatility. It features a boom system with a variable length ranging from 13 meters to a maximum of 55 meters, allowing users to tailor the crane’s configuration to project-specific lifting requirements. The crane is powered by a Weichai WP10G336E34 diesel engine, delivering a rated power of 247 kW at 1900 rpm and a peak torque output of 1550 Nm. The engine is compliant with China’s Stage III emission standards and is supported by a 400-liter fuel tank.

The hydraulic system of the SCC900HD-6 uses a load-sensing main pump to regulate flow and pressure efficiently, with the main circuit operating at a pressure of 32 MPa and the control system at 5 MPa. The hoisting system is driven by a hydraulic motor with planetary gears and spring-loaded brakes, delivering a maximum line speed of 120 m/min. Both the main and auxiliary hoists utilize 28 mm wire rope and are capable of achieving a single line pull of 132.3 kN (approximately 13.5 tonnes). The boom hoisting winch uses a 20 mm rope with a working length of 140 meters, offering a lifting speed of up to 60 m/min. Slewing is managed through a planetary gearbox with negative brakes, enabling 360° rotation at speeds up to 2.2 rpm.

The crane’s upper structure is constructed from H-profile welded steel, weighing approximately 30.1 tonnes. The operator cab is designed for comfort and visibility, featuring panoramic windows, adjustable seats, and a 7-inch touchscreen display with optional vibration controls. It provides an ergonomic and user-friendly interface for precise crane operation. Safety features include a load moment indicator, anti-overload and anti-overhoist systems, emergency stop, winch drum limit switches, and slew locking mechanisms. It also includes a three-color load status light, electronic level display, wind speed sensor, rear-view camera, and GPS/GPRS monitoring system for real-time diagnostics and fleet management.

The undercarriage consists of two independently driven crawler tracks, each equipped with reduction gearboxes for independent steering and straight-line tracking. The crane offers up to 30% gradeability and rides on 850 mm wide track shoes. Tensioning of the tracks is accomplished using a hydraulic cylinder and tension spring mechanism. The crane is designed for modular assembly and disassembly to simplify transportation. The total operating weight of the SCC900HD-6, including counterweights, basic boom, and hook, is approximately 83 tonnes. The overall design, coupled with robust steel fabrication and intelligent control systems, ensures the crane delivers reliable and safe lifting operations in challenging environments.
