Key Features & Benefits
The Sunward SWQUY160 is a powerful 160-ton class crawler crane tailored for high-performance lifting tasks, offering advanced engineering and operator-friendly features. Designed with a maximum rated lifting capacity of 160 tons and a lifting moment of 861 t·m, it can support a main boom up to 84 meters long with a luffing angle between 30° and 82°. When equipped with its longest fixed jib, the combination reaches up to 69+30 meters, with the angle between the boom and jib held at 10° or 30°. The tower-type jib configuration enables a reach of up to 57+51 meters and angles of 65°, 75°, and 85°, allowing optimal adaptability for different site conditions.
Performance-wise, the main and auxiliary hoisting speeds are rated at 134 m/min on the first layer, while the boom luffing mechanism achieves 60 m/min, and boom lowering speed is set at 37 m/min. Swing speed is rated at 1.5 rpm and the traveling speed is limited to 0.6–1.2 km/h, reflecting its stability-focused crawler design. It can tackle a gradeability of up to 30% with the base boom.
Powering the SWQUY160 is a Weichai WP10.336 engine, delivering 247 kW at 2100 rpm. This robust powertrain supports its substantial 169-ton overall weight (with base boom), alongside a counterweight of 64.5 tons. The crane’s ground pressure, with the base boom, stands at 0.093 MPa, allowing steady ground contact for better safety during lifting operations.
From a design and comfort perspective, the SWQUY160 integrates a CAN bus-controlled electronic system for communication and visibility, featuring a high-accuracy display interface. Hydraulic components are sourced from renowned suppliers such as REXROTH, ensuring durability and performance. Operator comfort is supported by an ergonomically designed cab with a 20° backward tilt, air-conditioning, and excellent visibility, making it suitable for long-duration work shifts.
Overall, the SWQUY160 is a versatile, high-capacity crawler crane ideal for contractors needing precision, strength, and operator-focused features in a wide range of construction and industrial lifting projects.
