Sany STC600T5 60 ton hydraulic truck crane with 45.5m main boom

Product Description

The Sany STC600T5 represents the global-export configuration of Sany’s 60-ton truck crane platform. According to the official product specification, the crane is equipped with a five-section telescopic boom fabricated from high-tensile structural steel with a U-shaped cross section. The boom length ranges from 11.74 meters in its basic configuration to 45.5 meters fully extended. When equipped with the fixed jib, the maximum boom + jib combination reaches 61.5 meters, while the maximum lifting height reaches 62 meters .

The rated maximum lifting capacity is 60 tons, and the maximum lifting moment on the basic boom is 2,107 kN·m. When the boom is fully extended, the maximum lifting moment is 1,287 kN·m, and with boom plus jib configuration the lifting moment is 633.5 kN·m . The minimum rated lifting radius is 3 meters, and the tail slewing radius is 3.95 meters. Outrigger span measures 6.05 meters longitudinally and 7.4 meters transversely, providing stable support for full 360-degree lifting operations.

The hydraulic system utilizes a double-pump configuration with load-sensing piston pumps and electronically controlled main valves. According to the specification, the full boom extension and retraction time is 100 seconds, while full luffing up/down time is 50/90 seconds. Slewing speed ranges from 0 to 2 rpm. The main winch achieves a maximum single-line lifting speed of 135 m/min with 18 mm diameter wire rope (215 m length), while the auxiliary winch reaches 125 m/min with 18 mm rope (135 m length). Maximum single line pull is rated at 5 tons .

The crane is mounted on an 8×4×4 wheel formula carrier chassis. Power is provided by a Cummins ISLe340 30 inline six-cylinder diesel engine compliant with Euro III emission standards. The engine delivers 250 kW at 2,100 rpm and a maximum torque of 1,425 N·m between 1,100 and 1,400 rpm . The gross vehicle weight is 42,500 kg.

Travel performance includes a maximum road speed of 85 km/h and a maximum gradeability of 47 percent. The minimum steering radius is 12 meters, with a 14.8-meter boom tip turning radius. Ground clearance is 245 mm, with approach and departure angles of 19° and 14° respectively . Fuel consumption is rated at ≤40 liters per 100 km under standard test conditions.

Overall transport dimensions are 14,150 mm in length, 2,800 mm in width, and 3,800 mm in height . Axle load distribution is 8.25 t on axles 1 and 2, and 13 t on axles 3 and 4.

The crane is equipped with fixed and movable counterweights of 4.8 t and 3.2 t respectively. The operator’s cab is tiltable from 0° to 20° and features a 7-inch HD touch display, electronic motion control, eco and power mode selection, and full HVAC configuration. Safety systems include Sany’s self-developed Load Moment Indicator (LMI), hydraulic balance valves, relief valves, two-way pilot-controlled valves, three-circle winch protection, and boom head height limit switches .

In summary, the export-specification Sany STC600T5 is characterized by its 45.5-meter five-section boom, 2,107 kN·m lifting moment, 8×4 carrier with Cummins Euro III powertrain, and high-efficiency hydraulic control system. Compared with earlier regional variants, this global configuration emphasizes balanced lifting performance, fuel efficiency, and compliance with international operating standards.
