Franna 4WD-12

The Franna 4WD-12 is a robust and highly maneuverable articulated pick-and-carry mobile crane developed in Australia to meet the demanding conditions of rugged job sites and general lifting applications. As part of the proven Franna all-terrain range, the 4WD-12 offers versatile performance while maintaining the ability to travel at highway speeds up to 85 km/h. Like its larger siblings, the crane is designed with a full articulation system and a compact turning radius of 6.2 meters, ideal for congested sites.

This model is equipped with a 163 hp Hino six-cylinder diesel engine, matched to a six-speed synchromesh gearbox and two-speed air shift transfer case, delivering power through heavy-duty front and rear drive axles. The hydraulic system features a load-sensing axial piston pump delivering 115 liters per minute, enabling smooth operation of the winch and synchronized boom extension system. The winch offers a full drum line pull of 2.5 tonnes with full hook compensation.

Cabin ergonomics prioritize operator comfort and safety with ROPS-type insulated construction, soundproofing, Bostrom seating, and a full-length tinted windscreen and windows. The wide stance of the boom lift cylinders improves visibility, while engine access is optimized through rearward-hinged covers. Safety features include full air twin circuit brakes, orbital steering with emergency hydraulic backup, rollover protection, and heavy-duty checker plate mudguards at both ends.
