Indo Farm Power-18FN

The Indo Farm Power-18FN is the most powerful pick-and-carry model in Indo Farm’s FN series, purpose-built for heavy material handling, large-scale construction, and demanding infrastructure tasks. It boasts a robust 4-part boom structure with three hydraulically operated telescoping sections and a power-extended final stage, offering a lifting height of 19.2 meters and a horizontal outreach of 16.6 meters. An optional 3-meter fly jib extends these limits to 22.2 meters vertically and 19.7 meters horizontally.

Rated for a full 18-ton lift at a 1.5-meter radius, the crane maintains capacity up to 0.5 tons at maximum horizontal extension. It operates with a six-fall wire rope hoisting system integrated with fail-safe braking and a self-compensating rope mechanism, ensuring consistent load control throughout boom extension.

The crane is powered by a 101 HP turbocharged diesel engine operating at 2,200 rpm, delivering high torque performance across lifting and driving functions. It uses a heavy-duty synchromesh gearbox with 8 forward and 2 reverse speeds, complemented by a high/low range selector and a 2-speed auxiliary box specifically optimized for crane tasks.

With articulated power steering supported by dual hydraulic cylinders and a 40° steering angle, the Power-18FN maintains a tight 7-meter turning radius. It travels up to 42 km/h and handles gradients of up to 35% unladen.

A heavy-duty full-length chassis with a straight rear axle supports four 11.00×20 – 16 PR front tyres and two 14.00×25 – 20 PR rear tyres, contributing to an overall operating weight of approximately 15,050 kg. The machine’s overall dimensions are 10,685 mm (L) × 2,670 mm (W) × 3,035 mm (H).

Hydraulic operations are controlled by a vane-type pump feeding a 5/6-spool double-acting control valve with built-in pressure relief. Hydraulic oil capacity is 155 liters. Other capacities include 60 liters of diesel, 12.5 liters of engine oil, and 45 liters of gear oil.

Braking is provided via air-operated ‘S’ cam dual circuit front brakes, mechanical disc brakes at the rear, and a fail-safe parking brake. Safety features include an overload audio alarm, counterbalance valve on the lift cylinder, hoist safety brake, and cylinder guards. The ergonomic operator’s cabin is fully enclosed, weather-resistant, and designed for low-fatigue control.

Optional accessories include a fly jib, man basket, spark arrestor, over-hoist warning, AC cabin, safe load indicator, fire extinguisher, reverse camera, and helper seat.
