IHI CTR60

The IHI CTR60 is a highly maneuverable, compact pick-and-carry crane engineered for efficient lifting and transporting tasks in confined industrial, construction, or factory settings. With a maximum rated lifting capacity of 4.8 tons at a 2.3-meter radius, the CTR60 is tailored for utility in applications that require high lifting efficiency in tight quarters.

The crane is built with a telescopic boom that extends from 5.0 meters to 7.0 meters, and can reach 8.5 meters when equipped with the optional boom extension. Its hook hoisting speed is rated at 12 meters per minute, while the boom hoisting operation can reach angles from -7° up to 77°. The swing system allows for 360° continuous rotation, with a slewing speed of 2.8 rpm. Boom extension and lifting movements are controlled via a load-sensing hydraulic system for smooth, proportional control.

Travel is powered by a Mitsubishi 4-cylinder diesel engine (model C240), producing 43 PS at 2,400 rpm. The transmission uses a 2-speed forward and 1-speed reverse manual setup. The maximum travel speed is 30 km/h, and the crane is capable of climbing grades of up to 28% (16°). The minimum turning radius is just 5.5 meters, enhancing maneuverability in narrow environments.

The CTR60 rides on a 4×2 drivetrain with front-axle steering and features full hydraulic power steering for ease of control. The braking system consists of foot-operated hydraulic brakes with drum type, a parking brake, and an exhaust brake for downhill control.

For safety, the crane is equipped with a moment limiter, boom angle limiter, anti-two-block system, and hook overwind prevention. It also includes boom and wire rope retraction lockouts. The rope drum uses 6xFi(21) IWRC wire rope with a diameter of 9 mm and a length of 120 meters.

Weighing 8,670 kg, the CTR60 balances lifting performance and transportability. Operator comfort is supported with options such as an enclosed cab, heater, and optional air conditioning. It is a practical solution for pick-and-carry tasks in sites where access and space are limited, offering a simple, reliable, and highly functional lifting solution.
