Indo Farm Power-9

The Indo Farm Power-9 is a compact yet powerful 9-ton pick-and-carry crane designed to meet the material handling needs across industrial, construction, and infrastructure segments. It is driven by an Indo Farm 3052 DI 3-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine that delivers 50 HP at 2,200 rpm, ensuring reliable torque for lifting and travel under demanding conditions.

The machine’s boom is a 2-part box-type telescopic design with hydraulic extension and derricking, reaching a maximum boom height of 8.5 meters and offering a horizontal reach of up to 5.8 meters. Lifting operations are supported by a four-fall hoist mechanism with fail-safe brakes and a self-rope compensation system, ensuring smooth and secure lifting cycles.

Transmission includes a heavy-duty, sliding mesh gearbox with eight forward and two reverse speeds and a high/low selector, providing flexibility for different load conditions. A heavy-duty single-plate dry clutch is fitted specifically for crane application durability. The Power-9 achieves a top road speed of 30 km/h, ideal for quick inter-site movements.

The crane features articulated power steering via dual hydraulic cylinders, offering a 56° articulation angle and a minimum turning radius of 5.6 meters. The chassis is full-length and heavy-duty with high ground clearance and a straight rear axle, enhancing off-road maneuverability and structural integrity.

Operational timings include boom raising in 17–20 seconds and lowering in 13–15 seconds, with boom telescoping in 5–11 seconds depending on direction. Braking systems include pneumatically assisted hydraulic front brakes, mechanical disc brakes at the rear, and a mechanical parking brake.

It rides on 10.00×20 – 16 PR front tyres (four) and 13.00×24 – 12 PR rear tyres (two), offering stable and balanced load-bearing support. Total operating weight stands at 8,350 kg.

Hydraulic systems are run via a gear/vane-type pump with a 4-spool control valve and pressure relief function. Hydraulic fluid capacity is 130 liters, supported by inline suction and return filters for system protection.

Safety systems include overload warning, lift cylinder guards, fail-safe hoist brakes, and lock valves. Standard accessories feature an all-weather cabin, reflectors, mirrors, and tool kit, while optional upgrades include a fly jib, six-fall rope, air brake system, and over-hoist warning alarm.
