Product Description

The Franna AT-14 is a robustly engineered 14-ton mobile pick-and-carry crane designed and manufactured in Australia to handle a variety of on-site lifting operations. Built with a focus on terrain versatility and operator efficiency, this crane can travel at speeds up to 85 km/h, allowing quick repositioning between tasks and job sites.

With a rated capacity of 14 tons at 1.6 meters radius, and the ability to lift 1 ton at a reach of 15.85 meters, the AT-14 offers a strong balance between lifting power and reach. The boom extends hydraulically and features synchronized power extension with a manual power-pinned stage, achieving a maximum hook height of 17.24 meters. The crane uses a 10.2-tonne hook block and supports single line operations up to 3.4 tonnes.

The under-slung winch assembly supports 3/2 part fall block or single line operation, fully compensated for hook weight. The hydraulic system includes a 135 L/min load-sensing axial piston pump, ensuring smooth multi-function control and efficient power distribution.

It rides on dual 1100 x 20 x 16 PR tires and features full air “S” cam twin circuit brakes with an engine exhaust brake for manual models. The chassis is heavy-duty with full torsion bar suspension up front and semi-elliptic springs at each axle, providing both road and off-road stability.

The powertrain supports either a six-speed synchromesh or four-speed automatic gearbox, paired with a two-speed air-shift transfer case. Front and rear heavy-duty drive axles come with driver-activated air diff locks for better traction under load. Steering is via full power ORBITROL with twin hydraulic rams and an emergency electrohydraulic backup.

Operator comfort and functionality are central to the AT-14’s design, with a ROPS-type insulated lock-up cabin, large tinted glass areas for visibility, ergonomic controls, and a full instrumentation cluster. Safety features include a slew brake for 80° slewing arcs, full articulation to 40° on each side, a hold brake for crane operation, and optional equipment such as air conditioning, a man basket, fly jib (2.6 m), spreader bars, and work lights.

With axle loads of 6,000 kg front and 9,000–10,000 kg rear, and an overall vehicle weight between 15,000 and 16,000 kg depending on configuration, the AT-14 offers reliable lifting with impressive terrain capability—ideal for infrastructure, utilities, and logistics operations.
