Indo Farm Power-16

The Indo Farm Power-16 is designed to provide reliable, high-capacity lifting with superior stability and operator control. This 16-ton crane is fitted with a robust 4-part telescopic boom, reaching a maximum vertical height of 18.6 meters and a horizontal extension of 16.4 meters. The boom’s second and third sections are hydraulically extended, while the fourth is extended via hydraulic-assisted rope operation, allowing for flexible reach in tight or tall workspaces.

Its rated lifting capacity is 16 tons at a 1.7-meter radius, tapering to 0.5 tons at full extension. The hoisting mechanism features a six-fall wire rope system with a lifting speed of 55 m/min, secured by a fail-safe brake system. Boom raising is completed in 18–20 seconds, lowering in 13–15 seconds, and telescoping ranges from 17–37 seconds, depending on the direction.

The crane is powered by the Indo Farm 3070 DI engine, a 4-cylinder water-cooled diesel unit producing 65 HP at 2,200 rpm. It uses a heavy-duty sliding mesh gearbox with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears, along with a high/low selector. A single-plate heavy-duty dry clutch ensures durability during demanding lifting tasks. With a maximum travel speed of 30 km/h, it’s well-suited for quick inter-site moves.

Articulated power steering is handled by dual hydraulic cylinders offering up to 53° of articulation, resulting in a tight 6.5-meter turning radius. This, combined with a high ground clearance and full-length heavy-duty chassis, enables stable handling across uneven terrain.

The braking system consists of fully air-operated ‘S’ cam dual circuit brakes on the front wheels, mechanical wet disc brakes on the rear, and air-operated fail-safe parking brakes on both axles. The machine rides on four 11.00×20 – 16 PR front tyres and two 14.00×25 – 20 PR rear tyres.

Hydraulics are powered by a vane/gear-type pump connected to a 4-spool control valve, featuring built-in pressure relief. The hydraulic system includes a 100-mesh suction strainer and 25-micron return line filter, with a hydraulic oil capacity of 140 liters.

The electrical system runs on a 12V battery with negative grounding. Additional capacities include 60 liters for diesel fuel, 12.5 liters of engine oil, and 45 liters of gear oil. The total operating weight is 13,000 kg.

Safety and standard features include an overload audio alarm, safety brakes on hoist, counterbalance valve on lift cylinder, lift and steering cylinder guards, rear-view mirrors, reflectors, front bumper, and all-weather operator cabin. Optional accessories include a man basket, spark arrester, over-hoist warning system, fire extinguisher, sequence valves, extra hooks, and steering wheel.
