Product Description

The Kato KR-25H-V7 is a 25-ton rough terrain crane designed for urban and industrial work requiring high-performance lifting with limited setup space. Its 4-section, box-type boom hydraulically extends from 9.35 meters to 30.5 meters, offering a wide working range with precise control. It is complemented by a 2-stage hydraulic offset jib that extends from 7.9 to 13.0 meters, delivering a maximum lifting height of 44.8 meters.

The crane lifts 25,000 kg at a 3.5-meter radius using 7-part reeving on the shortest boom. Even at full boom extension, it maintains strong load charts with 4,000 kg capacity using the rooster sheave. The jib provides lifting flexibility with multiple offset angles (5°, 25°, 45°, and 60°), optimized for lifting over obstacles and at height.

Both main and auxiliary winches feature powerful hydraulic motors with integrated planetary gear reducers and negative brakes. Line speeds reach up to 125 m/min under 4-layer spooling conditions, with hoist speeds of up to 163 m/min under no load. The boom raises from 0° to 83° in 40 seconds, while full extension takes 93 seconds. Slewing operates smoothly at 2.9 rpm.

Powering the crane is the robust Mitsubishi 6M60-TLE3A 6-cylinder, intercooled turbo diesel engine, generating 200 kW (272 PS) at 2,600 rpm and 785 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm. The drivetrain includes a 4-speed automatic transmission with Hi/Lo ranges, selectable 4×2 or 4×4 drive, and hydropneumatic suspension for both front and rear axles. It achieves a top speed of 49 km/h and maintains strong off-road gradeability (60% slope capability). Its compact footprint and 4-wheel steer system allow a minimum turning radius of 4.9 meters, enhancing maneuverability in tight job sites.

The outrigger system is full-hydraulic, H-type, with extension widths ranging from 2.31 to 6.60 meters and multiple intermediate spans to adapt to job site conditions. Outriggers include integrated float and vertical cylinders for fast and stable setup.

Safety is a hallmark of the KR-25H-V7. The Automatic Crane System (ACS) includes overload protection, automatic swing stop, boom motion soft stops, outrigger width detection, anti-two-block, and real-time load monitoring. Standard cab features include an air-conditioned operator cabin, tilt/telescopic steering, rear-view monitor, ergonomic seating, and control systems designed for visibility and comfort.

Ideal for infrastructure, maintenance, and medium-scale construction lifting, the KR-25H-V7 balances modern technology with operator-friendly design, making it one of Kato’s most trusted cranes in the 25-ton class.
