Kobelco RK250-2
The Kobelco RK250-II is a 25-ton class rough terrain crane designed for efficient lifting in challenging conditions, with robust features like an 8-speed power shift transmission, telescopic boom reaching up to 30.54 meters, and a hydraulically driven swing system with 360° continuous rotation.

Product Description
The Kobelco RK250-II is a robust 4×4 rough terrain crane built with a welded box-type frame structure that ensures high tensile strength, suited for demanding job sites. Powered by a Mitsubishi 6D16T turbocharged diesel engine, it delivers 215 PS at 2,800 rpm with a torque of 64 kg·m at 1,600 rpm. The crane features an 8-speed power shift transmission with high-low range and automatic drive engagement when in “D” mode, offering versatile mobility across job sites. The torque converter includes a lock-up function for better power transfer.
The crane’s boom consists of four telescopic sections, extending from 9.54 to 30.54 meters. An optional two-section jib adds either 7.5 or 11.5 meters, mounted side-stored and deployable with adjustable offset angles of 5°, 25°, and 45°. The boom elevation is managed by double-acting hydraulic cylinders, offering an operating angle up to 82° with derricking completed in just over 51 seconds. Boom extension from fully retracted to extended completes in 91.8 seconds.
The RK250-II is equipped with both main and auxiliary hoists driven by hydraulic motors with spur gear reduction and fail-safe brakes. The main hoist provides a lifting speed of 124 m/min (4th layer high range), while auxiliary hoist speeds range up to 107 m/min. Its swing system uses a hydraulic piston motor driving through a planetary gearbox for 360° rotation, with a manual disc brake for added control.
Safety systems include load moment indicators, holding valves on all cylinders, a counterbalance valve for boom hoist, winch motor safety, drum lock pins, axle lock-up, swing indicators, and more. The hydraulic system uses four pumps and a 395-liter reservoir, with dedicated circuits for winching, boom operation, steering, and auxiliary devices.
Weighing 26,290 kg in total, the crane distributes its load evenly across front and rear axles and is supported by 16.00-25-28PR tires. The RK250-II also boasts full operator comfort with an all-weather cab, ergonomic controls, and optional air conditioning and auxiliary seating. This model is ideal for mid-range lifting tasks in tough terrain environments.
