Tadano TR-300EX
The Tadano TR-300EX is a 30-ton class rough terrain crane engineered for powerful lifting in confined and rugged environments. With its full-power telescoping boom extending from 9.1 to 28.6 meters, it delivers efficient and versatile lifting operations backed by Tadano’s reliable hydraulics and AML safety system.

Product Description
The Tadano TR-300EX is a robust 30,000 kg capacity rough terrain crane, featuring a 4-section full-power telescopic boom with a reach of 9.1 meters when retracted and up to 28.6 meters fully extended. Boom extension is synchronized using a double-acting hydraulic cylinder supported by extension and retraction cables, with a telescoping speed of 19.5 meters in 90 seconds. To further extend lifting reach, a 2-stage swingaround jib (7.2 m or 12.8 m) is available with triple offset positions at 5°, 25°, and 45°.
Its hoisting system includes separate main and auxiliary winches, each driven by hydraulic axial piston motors. The main winch offers a line pull of 31.4 kN and speed of 119 m/min, while the auxiliary provides 29.4 kN and the same line speed, each equipped with fail-safe braking and counterbalance valves. Swing operations are powered by an axial piston motor through a planetary reducer, offering continuous 360° rotation at a swing speed of 3.0 rpm.
Mounted on a rugged box-type chassis, the TR-300EX operates with a 4×4 drive system. The Mitsubishi 6D16-TUA diesel engine generates 158 kW at 2,800 rpm and 706 Nm torque at 1,250 rpm. A full automatic powershift transmission enables six forward and two reverse speeds, split between high and low range.
The crane incorporates a 3-mode steering system (2-wheel, 4-wheel coordinated, and crab steer), allowing a tight turning radius of 5.3 meters with 4-wheel mode. The hydraulic outriggers can extend to a full width of 6.3 meters, and are controlled either individually or simultaneously from the cab.
For operational safety and ease of use, Tadano equips the TR-300EX with its AML-L (Automatic Moment Limiter) system, which continuously monitors load conditions and cuts crane functions in case of overload. A single-operator cab located on the rotating superstructure includes a digital AML display, tachometer, sun visors, and foot-operated boom control pedals. The electrical system runs on a 24V setup with twin 120 Ah batteries.
Travel speed reaches up to 50 km/h and gradeability is rated at 57%. The gross vehicle weight stands at approximately 27,000 kg with equal front and rear axle loads. The TR-300EX is also equipped with a 300-liter fuel tank and 410-liter hydraulic oil tank. Tire size is 445/95R25 on both front and rear.
Overall, the TR-300EX delivers high performance in a compact package, ideal for off-road and tight-space lifting operations, while maintaining Tadano’s hallmark of durability and safety.
