Product Description

Debuting as one of the most reliable models in the Mantis lineup, the 3612 telescopic crawler crane has firmly established itself as a leader in its class. Built with a robust steel structure and powered by a Cummins QSB5.9 Tier 3 diesel engine producing 173 hp at 2200 rpm, this 18-ton (16.3-tonne) crane offers exceptional lifting capability and maneuverability. It features a three-section full-power boom with a maximum length of 71 ft 4 in (21.7 m), delivering a tip height of 76 ft 3 in (23.2 m). For extended reach, a telescopic jib option can raise the working tip height up to 100 ft (30.5 m).

Designed for full pick-and-carry functionality through 360°, the 3612 can lift and walk with its full rated load even with the tracks retracted. The crane’s exceptional stability stems from its low center of gravity and broad track stance. It travels via hydrostatic track drives, achieving speeds up to 3.0 mph (4.8 km/h) and boasts a steep 70% gradeability, allowing it to perform in rough and sloped terrain.

The hydraulic system is robust, offering 115 gpm at 2200 rpm with a maximum pressure of 4,850 psi. The crane is also equipped with a 12,000 lb planetary winch and comes standard with a Rated Capacity Limiter and anti-two block system. The operator’s cab is fully enclosed and climate-controlled, equipped with ergonomic controls and safety features including rearview cameras and advanced monitoring systems.

The Mantis 3612 ships fully assembled with a weight of approximately 52,500 lb (23,814 kg) including its 10,000 lb counterweight, and its retractable undercarriage reduces transport width to as narrow as 8 ft. It’s especially favored in sectors such as powerline construction, foundation work, petrochemical plants, and general construction, where its agility, lifting capability, and compact footprint make it a superior choice.
