Product Description
The Sany STC650T5-8 telescopic crawler crane is designed to address the demands of modern construction and industrial lifting with its solid 65-ton lifting class, long boom reach, and robust undercarriage. With a fully extended main boom of 46 meters and the addition of a 16-meter jib, the crane can operate at significant working radii and heights, suitable for applications such as bridge segment erection, wind turbine component handling, or modular building assembly.
Its five-section main boom spans from 11.88 meters to 46 meters, and its boom luffing range from -2° to 78° allows for flexible lifting configurations in tight or elevated workspaces. When combined with the 16-meter fixed jib, the total lifting length reaches up to 62 meters, covering a wide array of medium to high-lift scenarios.
Performance is driven by a Weichai WP7 diesel engine, producing 221 kW at 2200 rpm, which powers a load-sensing hydraulic system for precise and efficient motion across all lifting functions. The winching system—both main and auxiliary—delivers speeds of 0–140 m/min, and the boom elevation/lowering time is 75 seconds, both up and down. Telescoping operation takes 110 seconds to extend and 120 seconds to retract, while slewing is controlled smoothly up to 2 rpm.
The undercarriage is built for both stability and transport practicality. With 800 mm track shoes and a total width of 5060 mm during operation (retractable to 3260 mm for transport), the STC650T5-8 achieves excellent jobsite balance. Its total length is 14,972 mm and height is 3345 mm, falling within manageable transport limits with partial disassembly. The transport weight is listed as 43.7 tonnes (excluding counterweight and jibs), while the total operating weight with counterweights is 64.3 tonnes.
The crawler system enables a maximum travel speed of 2.5 km/h and supports gradients of up to 45%, ensuring reliable self-mobility on uneven or sloped terrain. Ground pressure is kept at 0.07 MPa, allowing operation over soft ground conditions such as reclaimed land, sand pads, or unpaved work zones. The minimum turning radius is 4683 mm, enabling maneuvering in restricted sites.
Lifting operations are conducted with Φ18 mm wire rope, offering both strength and flexibility for heavy and precise lifts. The working configuration includes jib offset options at 0°, 15°, and 30°, enabling angled lifts over obstacles or into limited access zones.
In summary, the Sany STC650T5-8 stands out as a versatile and powerful telescopic crawler crane in the 65-ton class. With its 46+16 meter lifting system, high-performance Weichai engine, efficient hydraulic drive, and terrain-capable crawler base, it is a dependable choice for large infrastructure builds, plant construction, and energy sector lifting where reach, lifting power, and site mobility are equally essential.
