Product Description

The Tadano Mantis 6010 is a rugged, 30-ton (27 metric ton) capacity telescopic boom crawler crane, known for its durable construction and operational flexibility. Its 3-section boom is a full-power synchronized telescoping design that ranges from 32 feet 8 inches (9.96 meters) retracted to 80 feet (24.38 meters) extended. The boom system operates with a single hydraulic cylinder and cable mechanism for synchronized extension and retraction, reaching full extension in 70 seconds and elevation between -1° and 78° in just 41 seconds.

Ideal for lifting in confined and off-road environments, the 6010 offers 360-degree pick-and-carry functionality, even under full load. It moves confidently over uneven ground and can climb grades up to 53% unladen, thanks to a low center of gravity and optimized weight distribution. The undercarriage features hydraulically extendable side frames with 30-inch (760 mm) 3-bar semi grouser track shoes, supported by two top and nine bottom sealed rollers per frame for maximum stability and maneuverability.

It’s powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine rated at 173 horsepower (129 kW) at 2200 RPM, driving a hydraulic system with two variable axial piston pumps capable of delivering 115 gallons per minute at a maximum pressure of 4,800 psi (330 bar). These pumps control all crane functions with load-sensing and power-limiting features. Travel is handled through a dual-speed hydrostatic system with skid steering and counter rotation, offering speeds between 1.6 and 2.6 mph (2.6 to 4.2 km/h).

The crane features planetary two-speed winches: the main winch provides 11,000 lbs of single-line pull at speeds up to 229 feet/min, while the auxiliary winch has a 12,000 lb pull at 214 feet/min, both on the fourth layer. The superstructure rotates through a full circle at speeds up to 2.2 rpm via a slewing gear motor system with both service and parking brakes.

The operator’s cab is fully enclosed, air-conditioned, and includes a full-color video display for winch and rearview monitoring. It comes equipped with standard safety features like seat and armrest interlocks that disable hydraulics when triggered, plus a Rated Capacity Limiter system that provides real-time load and configuration data on an LCD screen.

Optional equipment includes a 20-foot lattice extension and a 20-foot jib, increasing the maximum lifting height to 119 feet (36.3 meters). Also available are auger kits, pole claws, radio remote packages, tool circuits, work platforms, and alternate track shoe widths (18 and 24 inches).

Engineered for full utility across construction, energy, foundation, and infrastructure sectors, the Tadano Mantis 6010 delivers a powerful combination of reach, strength, and mobility in a compact, jobsite-ready package.
