Product Description

The Potain MCT 328 L12 is a robust and versatile flat top tower crane that delivers powerful lifting capabilities with modern site efficiency. Designed for large-scale and high-rise construction projects, it features a maximum lifting capacity of 12 tonnes and a maximum working radius of 75 meters, with a tip load of approximately 3.2 tonnes at full reach. The crane is configured to support a wide range of jib lengths in 5-meter increments, allowing contractors to tailor it precisely to the job site’s demands.

It is mounted on a 2.0 m x 2.0 m tower system and supports various tower configurations including P 21A, P 21BR, and VB 21A, offering freestanding heights that vary depending on the setup—ranging from 56.7 meters to 64.1 meters. The modular design ensures quick transport and assembly, with components fitting standard shipping containers.

The MCT 328 L12 is available with either the 75 LVF 30 Optima or the 75 LVFC 30 Optima winch systems, both delivering high lifting speeds ranging from 44 to 122 meters per minute and rope capacities up to 766 meters, depending on the reeving and load. The crane includes variable frequency drive (VFD) options for all motions—hoisting, slewing, and trolleying—allowing smooth, energy-efficient operation and precise load control. Slewing is managed via the RVF 162 Optima+ system with rotation speeds up to 0.7 rpm, and trolleying speeds can reach up to 120 m/min, based on the trolley model and reeving.

The crane adheres to FEM 1.001-A3 design standards and incorporates Potain’s Power Control system, which adapts hoisting performance to the site’s power availability. With a topless structure, the MCT 328 L12 is ideal for jobs requiring multiple cranes working in tandem, minimizing overlap and height constraints.

Altogether, the MCT 328 L12 combines heavy lifting power, flexible reach, and efficient operation in a compact, flat top design, making it an excellent choice for high-density construction environments where performance, safety, and speed are critical.
