Product Description

The Demag AC 435 is a high-capacity, full-featured all terrain crane designed for maximum efficiency in heavy lifting projects, infrastructure work, and industrial applications. With a lifting capacity of 160 tons, the crane is constructed on a 10x8x8 carrier platform, delivering robust off-road performance and superior maneuverability on tight job sites. The main monobox frame integrates outrigger boxes into a high-strength fine-grain structural steel chassis, with four-point hydraulic outriggers for solid operational support.

The crane is powered by a Daimler-Benz OM 442 LA 8-cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine. This engine delivers 320 kW (435 hp) at 2,100 rpm and a peak torque of 1,800 Nm, compliant with Euro 1 emissions standards. The ZF-Transmatic transmission offers 16 forward and 2 reverse gears, including off-road ratios, ensuring versatile speed control under load. A fuel tank with 500 liters capacity supports extended operations in remote areas.

Axle arrangement includes planetary drive axles on positions 1, 2, 4, and 5, with a rigid third axle, all hydro-pneumatically suspended and hydraulically lockable. The rear axles feature independent crab steering with lift capability on axles 1 and 5 for enhanced agility.

The superstructure is driven by a Daimler-Benz OM 366 A, a 6-cylinder inline diesel engine rated at 121 kW (165 hp), with torque output of 560 Nm at 1,400 rpm and supported by a 280-liter fuel tank. The hydraulic system employs two variable-displacement axial piston pumps and one fixed pump to handle three simultaneous motions and a low-pressure circuit. Precision is ensured by fixed displacement axial piston motors on the hoists, equipped with planetary reducers and spring-loaded brakes.

The main boom consists of four telescopic sections fabricated from fine-grain structural steel with torsion-resistant Demag ovaloid cross-section. The boom extends up to substantial heights and can be paired with several optional jibs including fixed fly (12 m to 30 m), luffing fly (18 m to 42 m with offset), and a hydraulically adjustable fly jib (10–24 m). The luffing jib offers a 3° or 20° offset range, ideal for up-and-over jobs.

Optional configurations include a side-folding 2-part lattice extension (extendable from 10 m to 31 m) and heavy-lift attachments for picks exceeding 100 tons. Additional counterweights (up to 20 t) and a special 40-ton HL counterweight allow adaptation for special lifting applications or when using the workshop boom.

The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed with climate control, safety glass, preheating options, and full instrumentation. With wide visibility and integrated comfort controls, the cab is suited for prolonged, high-intensity operation.

Whether in urban infrastructure projects or remote heavy industry applications, the Demag AC 435 delivers reliability, strength, and versatility with the hallmark German engineering precision.
