Product Description

The Grove GMK3060, introduced as a successor to the popular GMK3055, is a high-performance 60-ton (55 metric ton) all-terrain crane that excels in both versatility and compact design. Built on a three-axle carrier, the GMK3060 is equipped with a powerful 43-meter (141-foot) telescopic main boom. For additional reach, it features a bi-fold swingaway extension of 8.7 to 15 meters, providing a total system length of up to 60 meters.

One of the major advancements in the GMK3060 over its predecessor is the inclusion of an additional 2-ton counterweight, significantly boosting the crane’s load charts across all configurations. The crane also benefits from Grove’s proprietary Crane Control System (CCS), a highly intuitive interface that uses reliable hardware components, including responsive joysticks and a jog dial for efficient crane operation. An intelligent boom optimization feature enables the operator to input basic lifting parameters such as load weight, radius, and height, allowing the system to automatically select the optimal boom configuration for the lift. This feature streamlines the setup process and enhances operational efficiency on congested job sites.

The GMK3060 is powered by either a Tier 3 or Tier 4 Cummins engine, with the Tier 4 engine providing improved fuel efficiency and compliance with stricter emission regulations. Known for its compactness, the GMK3060 boasts the shortest overall length, lowest height, and smallest tail swing in its class, making it exceptionally maneuverable in urban and restricted environments.

Additionally, the GMK3060 debuted a new operator cab design, further enhancing driver comfort and visibility. A successor to this model, the GMK3060L, was later announced during Bauma 2019, offering an even longer boom while building on the same compact platform and operational advantages.
