Key Features & Benefits

The Liebherr LTM 1120N-1 is a high-capacity, five-axle all-terrain crane designed for versatile lifting operations across varied site conditions. With a maximum lifting capacity of 120 tons and a 2.5-meter minimum working radius, it combines a compact footprint with significant reach and performance. The crane’s main boom spans from 11.9 meters to 45 meters and is composed of five telescoping sections, allowing precise control of boom extension. When fitted with a jib ranging from 8 to 19 meters, the maximum lifting height increases to 64 meters, enabling it to handle high-rise or long-reach jobs with ease.

This crane employs a dual-drum system, each offering a line pull of 7.5 tons and hoisting speeds up to 120 meters per minute. It supports hook blocks ranging from 7.5 tons up to a robust 120 tons, depending on the sheave configuration, which offers flexible rigging options for varied lifting needs. Slewing is smooth and efficient at 2.0 rpm, ensuring precise positioning even under load.

The undercarriage includes 10 tires across 5 axles with full hydro-pneumatic suspension and independent hydraulic steering across all axles. It can maneuver in tight quarters with a minimum turning radius of 11.94 meters and is capable of climbing slopes of up to 26°. The transmission is a ZF BT-755 automatic with torque converter and retarder, offering 5 forward and 1 reverse gear for dependable road and job site travel.

Powering the carrier is a Daimler-Benz OM442LA diesel engine producing 435 HP at 2100 rpm and 176.0 kg·m of torque. The crane’s superstructure has its own Daimler-Benz OM366LA diesel engine producing 155 HP at 2100 rpm. The use of dual engines ensures independent power delivery to both the crane and the drive system, optimizing operational flexibility and efficiency. Fuel capacity is approximately 500 liters for the carrier and 280 liters for the crane system.

Operational controls are managed via dual joystick electronic pilot systems, allowing intuitive and simultaneous operation of boom, swing, and winch functions. Safety is prioritized with overwind prevention, automatic drum braking, and emergency hydraulic shutoff systems. The crane also includes visual and audible alarms to warn of load limit exceedance and improper rigging conditions.

Designed for high-demand lifting scenarios, the LTM 1120N-1 excels in urban projects, industrial installations, and general heavy lifting where strong performance, maneuverability, and operational control are critical.
