Product Description
The SANY SAC2200T7-8 represents the upper segment of SANY’s all-terrain crane lineup, offering a lifting capacity of 220 tons at a 3-meter radius. The crane’s main boom is an oval-shaped 7-section structure fabricated from fine-grain, high-strength steel, reaching a maximum length of 75.5 meters. The standard 22-meter jib can be extended to 36 meters through optional inserts, offering versatile offset angles of 0°, 20°, and 40°, and increasing the crane’s maximum lifting height and working radius to meet the needs of complex hoisting tasks in power plants, infrastructure, and petrochemical construction.
This model is powered by a dual-engine system: the crane superstructure operates with a Cummins QSB6.7 engine producing 194 kW, while the chassis is driven by a Mercedes-Benz OM460LA.E3A engine, compliant with EU Stage IIIA emission regulations. This separation of power sources improves energy efficiency during lifting versus travel operations and provides optimal torque and performance under full load conditions.
The SAC2200T7-8 is mounted on a 5-axle all-terrain carrier, providing a stable base for long booms and high counterweight configurations. The carrier incorporates Kessler axles with hydro-pneumatic suspension and disc brakes for enhanced road handling and off-road capability. Six steering modes are available, including front-only, all-wheel, and crab steering, supporting a minimum turning radius of 10 meters, which is critical for maneuvering on congested or confined job sites.
The crane utilizes independent hydraulic systems for both the upper and lower structures. The superstructure system includes a variable piston main pump, slewing pump, and auxiliary pump, supplied via a dedicated hydraulic tank. This layout ensures simultaneous multi-function operation, such as hoisting, telescoping, and slewing, without performance drop-off. The IP67-rated electrical system with protected cable routing provides high resistance against dust, water, and environmental stress, simplifying maintenance and improving durability.
The transmission is a ZF automated system with 12 forward and 2 reverse gears, supported by a hydraulic retarder for braking assistance and downhill control. The crane is capable of highway travel and cross-country mobility, aligning with global transport regulations for heavy equipment.
The H-type outriggers provide wide-span support with automatic leveling and variable positioning based on jobsite conditions. During lifting, the automatic suspension lock stabilizes the chassis, and the outrigger beam control system ensures precise deployment and secure footing across uneven ground.
In terms of physical dimensions, the SAC2200T7-8 measures 16,000 mm in length, 2,800 mm in width, and 4,000 mm in height, with a gross vehicle weight of 60,000 kg. The cab is ergonomically designed with wide visibility, integrated operator control displays, and climate control to support long working durations.
With a combination of structural reach, all-terrain mobility, and heavy-lift capacity, the SANY SAC2200T7-8 is engineered for performance across various job environments, including high-rise construction, infrastructure lifting, wind turbine installation, and heavy equipment relocation. The machine’s blend of mechanical strength and intelligent systems enables reliable lifting under complex, multi-angled configurations.
