XCMG participated in Project Qatar 2014 in Doha, capital of Qatar, from May 12 to 15, 2014 together with Qatar-based exclusive franchiser of XCMG—Al Hamad Automobile of AL MANA Group, a famous family enterprise of Qatar. At the exhibition, XCMG exhibited QAY180 together with another 16 cranes.

Product Description

Chinese manufacturer XCMG claims the new QAY 180 model, displayed at the Project Qatar 2014 exhibition in Doha, adopts 38 patented technologies and integrates 222 patents.

The model features a 180t lifting capacity, an overall length of 15.77m, a weight of 60t, a minimum turning radius of 10m and six-segment 62m long boom, three-segment 28m long jib, and six counterweight combinations. XCMG has developed a self-combination counterweight technique with six different combinations. This technology can effectively improve lifting performance by 30%.

A compact boom tail structure increased tapping length of the lifting boom and decreased jib deflection is designed to boost stability.

Other features include a four-axle drive and electro-hydraulic proportional steering control, advanced disc-brake technology and multi-point heat dissipation technology.

The 180 tonnes all-terrain adopt an imported Benz EFI engine OM460LA.E3A/1 with the strong power system and imported 12-gear automatic control transmission. The 2nd, 4th, and 5th axles are driven axles and it comes with an optional 10×10 full axle steering. It is also equipped with the electrohydraulic proportion control multi-axle steering mode which can be driven by different steering modes.
