Key Features & Benefits

The XCMG XCA500L8 is a 500-ton all-terrain crane built for demanding heavy-lift operations. Designed to deliver superior lifting power, reach, and mobility, it excels in large-scale projects such as wind energy installation, industrial plants, and bridge construction.

At the heart of the XCA500L8 is a 7-section 92-meter telescopic main boom. Its reach is extended even further with a jib system ranging from 16 to 36 meters, providing a maximum lifting height of 134 meters. This boom and jib configuration enables precise handling of large components at extreme elevations and distances.

The crane’s superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM473LA engine, producing 460 kW of power and 2500 Nm of torque. Compliant with Euro V emission standards, this engine ensures environmentally responsible performance while delivering the torque needed for high-capacity lifts and off-road travel.

Mounted on an 8-axle, 16-wheel all-terrain chassis with a 16×8 drive configuration, the XCA500L8 achieves a maximum road speed of 80 km/h. Its advanced suspension and multi-mode steering system—including crab and rear axle steering—give it excellent maneuverability on job sites and highways alike.

A wide outrigger base measuring 9.5 by 8.7 meters ensures outstanding lifting stability. The crane also features a variable counterweight system to adapt to different lifting scenarios, maximizing efficiency and balance.

Operator comfort and control are key strengths of the XCA500L8. Its dual-cabin setup separates driving and crane operation, with the operator cab offering full climate control, panoramic visibility, and a touchscreen interface with integrated diagnostics. Joystick controls and smart sensors allow for smooth, intuitive crane handling.

Safety is enhanced through XCMG’s intelligent crane control system, which includes load moment indicators, anti-two-block technology, swing brakes, and real-time wind speed alerts. Remote diagnostics and data tracking ensure reliability and uptime across operations.

Combining brute strength with intelligent systems and mobility, the XCA500L8 is engineered for professionals who demand performance, versatility, and control in every lift.
