Product Description

The American 11250 Skyhorse crawler crane is a member of the 1100 Series and is specifically designed for high-capacity lifting on major construction sites. With a 70-foot base boom and the option to fit telescoping extensions and a full A-frame for additional configurations, the crane is engineered to handle heavy-duty lifting assignments with safety and durability.

Dimensionally, the crane features a cab width of 11 ft 6 in, overall width over counterweights of 13 ft 6 in, and crawler bearing length of 27 ft 6 in. The crawler track height is 3 ft 9 in, and the overall crawler length is 37 ft 6 in. The unit rides on wide 50-inch or 60-inch crawler shoes, with a maximum ground pressure of 13.5 PSI (50″ shoes) and 11.4 PSI (60″ shoes) when fully counterweighted, delivering a large footprint for improved ground contact and stability.

The total counterweight capacity includes an “A-B-C” configuration weighing 112,000 lbs, with additional optional blocks for finer load distribution. The crane boom sections—inner, outer, and telescoping—are designed to provide both strength and flexibility in operation, while components like the upperworks and RH crawler side frame contribute to a total system mass well over 450,000 lbs, depending on shoe size and boom length.

The 11250 also features heavy-duty crawler units with four crawler axles, side frame struts, and axial components providing structural integrity for transport and lifting. It’s tailored for operators with straightforward cab access and is optimized to perform lifting operations without requiring outriggers, making it suitable for projects in energy, infrastructure, and heavy civil sectors.

Fully compliant with ANSI B30.5 standards, the American 11250 Skyhorse sets a benchmark in its class for lifting strength, crawler stability, and field-configurable boom systems, giving contractors confidence in performance and reliability across variable terrains and working environments.
