Product Description
The Demag CC 1800 is a highly capable 300-ton capacity crawler crane designed to perform in demanding lifting applications across construction and industrial sectors. Its crawler carrier consists of a 3-section structure, including a carbody and two hydraulically connected crawler side frames, offering excellent stability and mobility for heavy lifting tasks. The side frames are constructed from high-strength fine-grain structural steel, while the crawler shoes and rollers provide centralized lubrication for efficient operation on varied terrains.
The crane is powered by a DaimlerChrysler diesel engine, model OM 441 LA, delivering 250 kW (340 hp) at 2100 rpm. This engine powers a hydraulic system that includes variable displacement pumps, ensuring smooth and precise control over the crane’s movements. The two standard rope drums, for hoist 1 and the boom, are driven by hydraulic motors, providing reliable load handling with spring-applied hydraulic brakes.
The CC 1800 offers various boom configurations, including SH, SW, LF, and SSL options, giving it a wide range of lifting heights and capacities. The main boom extends from 18 to 108 meters, depending on the configuration, with lattice-type tubular chord structures for strength and flexibility. For example, the SH/LH configuration offers boom lengths of 54 to 96 meters, while the SSL/LSL configuration can extend from 78 to 108 meters.
The crane is equipped with safety devices such as electronic load indicators, hoist limit switches, and wind speed monitoring through an anemometer, ensuring secure operations. The cabin is designed for operator comfort and safety, featuring large windows for visibility, full instrumentation, and climate control systems. The cab can also tilt back for improved operator sightlines during lifting operations and is easily removable for transport.
Optional equipment includes additional counterweights of up to 160 tons, an auxiliary reeving winch, and a second hoist, making the crane adaptable for a wide range of project requirements. The CC 1800’s Superlift counterweight system further enhances its lifting capability, providing the stability needed for long-reach and heavy-load operations.
Overall, the Demag CC 1800 combines advanced engineering, powerful lifting capabilities, and flexible boom configurations, making it ideal for large infrastructure projects, industrial construction, and energy sector applications.
