Product Description
The IHI CCH1500 is a heavy-duty 150-ton class crawler crane designed for demanding lifting tasks in civil and industrial construction. At the heart of the machine lies a Hino K13C-TJ turbocharged diesel engine, a 4-cycle, water-cooled, straight six-cylinder unit that delivers 235 kW at 2,000 rpm (rated), and a peak output of 320 PS at 2,000 rpm. The engine powers an advanced hydraulic system using variable displacement axial piston motors for all hoisting functions, ensuring smooth and responsive load handling.
The crane incorporates three distinct winch systems for operational flexibility. The main and auxiliary hoists are each single-drum configurations driven independently by their own hydraulic motors and paired with internal expanding band-type clutches and external contracting band-type brakes. These drums are fitted with Lebus grooved surfaces for optimized rope alignment and include ratchet locks. The boom hoist system, mounted on the rear right axle, operates a dual-drum configuration and utilizes a wet-type multi-disc brake for reliable load control, also featuring ratchet lock for safety.
The CCH1500 can achieve a swing speed of up to 1.7 rpm and a maximum travel speed of approximately 1.1 km/h, with a gradeability of 30% (equivalent to 16.7°), enabling effective maneuvering on challenging terrain. The fuel tank holds 460 liters, and the electrical system is 24V with dual 150Ah batteries to support extended operation in the field.
The crane’s cab is equipped with an array of instrumentation and ergonomic features designed for operator comfort and efficiency. This includes hour meters, hydraulic and fuel gauges, swing and travel alarms, lighting systems, electric engine throttle, and engine start voice alerts. Safety features include automatic hook overwinding stops, boom overhoist protection, drum locks, swing locks, load moment limiting, and hydraulic assist brakes for both main and auxiliary winches.
Standard equipment includes air-conditioned cab options, bronze-tinted glass, multiple lighting systems, automatic braking, and a high “A” frame erection device. The crawler is also outfitted with operator conveniences such as reclining seats, storage space, ashtray, cigarette lighter, and even an optional air conditioning system. Optional attachments such as moment limiters, automatic stop systems for marginal angles or overload, and region-specific customizations round out the CCH1500’s capabilities.
Robust, stable, and engineered for high safety, the IHI CCH1500 is a workhorse crawler crane suitable for infrastructure, heavy lift assembly, and foundation construction projects requiring reliable and continuous performance.
